I’ve been coming to Angel’s since it first opened on Central Ave and it’s always been a go-to a breakfast spot for me. The owner is especially kind and has remembered me after all these years. Excellent food and excellent service! 10/10 recommend, whether to take home and enjoy or dine in with a friend. Will most definitely be back for a strawberry, banana, and nutella crepe 🙂

I came for the first time with my son to pick up a “toogood2go” order. We were greeted with smiling faces and extreme generosity. My son and I ordered shakes which were hands down our favorites EVER!! I said I would be back with my daughters one day soon. Today I brought them and was met with the same smiling kind faces and amazing high quality ingredients with phenomenal flavor. There is a lot of rudeness in this town and their smiles and kind hearts made me feel at home and less like I was in the rude core of the city.

Feels like a scam disguised as a dessert shop
I honestly don’t know whether to laugh or be angry.
On their in-store menu, the Strawberry & Banana Crepe (normal batter, Nutella, whipped cream) is listed at $11.99.
On Uber Eats, the same crepe is $12.99 (okay, delivery markup, fine).
But when I ordered IN THE STORE, they charged me $13.99.
Same crepe. Same ingredients. Same location. Different prices depending on… vibes?
On top of that, if you pay by card, they slap you with a 3.99% “offset cost” fee (whatever that even means). There’s a little sign taped to the register like a warning label. It feels less like transparency and more like a creative way to nickel-and-dime customers for choosing not to pay cash.
I usually tip wherever I go, even when service is average. This time, despite being annoyed, I still left $1. What did I get in return?
Someone yelling from the counter: “Excuse me! Your crepe is ready!” — arm stretched out — while I was sitting at a table. No effort to bring it over. No basic courtesy. Nothing.
Between the mystery pricing, the extra card fee, and the bare-minimum service, the whole experience feels shady and unpleasant. As a customer, it honestly makes you feel taken advantage of.
Dessert is supposed to be sweet. This experience was not.
I won’t be coming back, and I definitely don’t recommend this place unless you enjoy surprise charges with your crepe.

I don’t really ever write reviews, but I love this place so much! The staff is so kind and welcoming. The crepes, ice cream and milkshakes, I’m obsessed!!!! I love the Strawberry Nutella crepe and 4-2 ice cream/ shake is a MUST HAVE! 5/5 for sure, definitely coming back for more soon!

I don’t know who Angel is, considering the staff were all Indian when we were here–but I’m glad she likes Lotus Biscoff as much as I do. The double scoop I got of this flavor was every bit as creamy and baby cookie-y as I wanted.
I’d skip the bubble tea, though–unless you like the artificial, food-colored, syrupy type. The Honeydew bubble tea was a nuclear shade of green that would probably give you a third arm (or telekinesis), and tasted like an AI-designed imagining of what honeydew might taste like.

Best staff and best ice cream and crepes on the heights. The staff was friendly and kind to the max. They were helpful, thoughtful, and welcoming. The crepes were sooo tasty and they had some of the most fun flavors I’ve seen in quite some time. We will definitely be back
We’re still eating, at first we said we would only eat half because the serving was big. I’ve been writing this review and had two bites, I looked over to find 80% of the crepe and ice cream gone and a look of guilt across my boyfriends face. He meekly said ” it’s too good, I can’t stop”.

I absolutely love this ice cream place! I always get the Angels & Demons ice cream, and it is so delicious every single time. I order it whenever I come here, and it never disappoints, always rich, flavorful, and perfectly made. Definitely my go-to spot for ice cream!

The rolled ice cream was so good! I got the French toast with banana and strawberry. The owner was very friendly and the workers was so sweet and helpful when I wanted to try the different flavors. Would come again!!

I have been here quite a few times through the years, but writing this review had made me realize that (I’m pretty sure) I’ve only ever purchased their ice cream, haha. I have got to make it a point to try out one of their famous crepes on my next visit! They all look really delicious, so I’m not sure why I haven’t tried any of them yet, honestly.
Angel’s Recipe makes great quality home made Ice cream. They always provide a good variety of delicious flavors that are all freshly made and have a great creamy texture to them. I really love their freshly handrolled options! There are a bunch of interesting flavor combinations to choose from that come with different toppings for each, and they’re always presented / decorated in a fun way. A couple of my favorites are Moonlight Sonata & Matcha Libre.
