Came to Crusty’s on a whim. We were driving through Camp Verde and decided to stop.
This reminded me of the old style family run pizza restaurants from my youth.
Booths and tables. A few beer signs in an Italian themed restaurant w the pizza ovens exposed and the staff busily taking care of customers.
Felt cosy.
Had the pizza and a salad. The salad was large enough for 2-3 people. The pizza was very good. I would call it a medium thick crust. Not thin.
When I first saw the size of the large, I wondered if it would be enough for 3 people. But we took 3 slices home.
We thought the pizza always very good. A little haphazardly created with the toppings unevenly distributed. But a very good taste and nice bite to the crust.
I am a bit old school and prefer my Parmesan and Chili flakes to be served in a shaker at the table when I dine-in at the restaurant. Not out of packets. And we would prefer fresh salad dressing versus a packet of dressing.
Other than that, we liked it. Simple pizza restaurant with good prices and food.

Huge salads, huge portions, nice flavors. Great focaccia bread, all included with the meal. However: Once served, we never saw our server again until she brought the check; the prices on the check did not match the menu price (they were a bit higher). The food was so good and the portions so massive we did not raise the issue, could have been a fluke.

Definitely recommend!!! Even though they were extremely busy filling a huge to-go order, so busy they had to close early shortly after we sat down, they were still very friendly and got us our food surprisingly fast. And the pizza was delicious, some of the best I’ve ever had!! Crust had a crispy bottom but was still soft with the perfect texture. Regular sauce and toppings were great. And the Alfredo sauce was also delicious. Small pizza is plenty of food for one person. Also, their Spaghetti portions are huge and looked delicious as well. Definitely a good value for the price. I definitely recommend this place and hope to eat here again.
Update: Ate a second time, this time take-out. Pizza just as good even though they were very, very busy again. Had the spaghetti and meatballs. It was huge, filling the entire full-sized styrofoam to-go box. Plus it came with a salad that had tons of tomatoes and cucumbers and garlic bread. Also, when I called my order in they said it would be ready in about 1 hour and 15 minutes and it was ready right on time. I’ll definitely eat here the next time I’m in town.

Not good at all. Ordered a pizza for lunch, requested no olives, yet olives came piled on so we had to pick them off. On top of that, it was soggy, undercooked, and you could barely pick it up without everything on top just sliding off. We’re having to put it back in the oven just to crisp it up more. Literally one of the worst quality pizzas I’ve had in a long time. Very disappointed and won’t be ordering from here again.

The food here was actually really good — the pizza was hot and tasty, and the cheesy garlic bread was delicious. Unfortunately, I can’t give a better rating because I was overcharged and never given an explanation.
I ordered a small white pizza, half order of cheesy garlic bread, and two iced teas — my total came out to around $29, which seemed unusually high for what I ordered. My total should have been around $15 dollars according to their menu pricing. When I asked about the pricing, I didn’t get a clear answer.
Great food doesn’t make up for poor transparency. I left feeling frustrated and like I had been taken advantage of. I hope they work on being more upfront about their prices, because I would have loved to come back.

Pizza in Arizona .. excellent!
The restaurant was nicely decorated with paintings of scenery.
Being newbies we weren’t sure what to do (seat yourself or be seated).
We both wanted a large salad and we created our pizza with four toppings.
Salad is salad, not much to say BUT the pizza was excellent, just the right amount of toppings on each slice and well seasoned.
Too bad we leave the area tomorrow because we would have liked to try the sandwiches!

Crustys has always been pretty fire but I will say it’s gotten so slow over the years. I highly recommend their sticks with cheese and dipping almost anything they have in their home made ranch. Just make sure you’re not in a hurry because they are not quick anymore.
