My friend and I went for a late lunch and ordered the French toast, Belgian Waffles, and Chocolate and Raspberry Beignets. The waffles were amazing with a little bit of butter and some maple syrup(also tasty). The French toast was a little hard to cut but the flavors were spot on. The beignets were odd, we thought it was going to be a mix of chocolate and raspberries inside of each one but half were chocolate and the other half was raspberry. The mimosas were good, our favorite was the watermelon and then the strawberry/guava. We did not like the mango mimosa tho. The staff was busy but continued to smile and check on us. Overall I now have a new favorite breakfast place. My friend and I came back to try more of the menu and found out that the bacon waffles are not as good as the original waffles also ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich. The sandwich had good flavors but not enough sauce, also wish it was one piece of chicken not a bunch of chicken tenders… The server we got this time was not polite or friendly.

Came here for brunch when we came to visit our son for Parents’ Weekend at Humboldt. We will definitely be coming back. My husband wants to try the country fried pork chops next time. My Bloody Mary and half order of crab cake Benedict was perfect. My son ordered the Usual burrito and my husband got the Mexican burrito, they both loved them. Nice, clean place, and very friendly.

So….finally tried The Greene Lily for brunch after hearing about it a few times and IT DIDNT DISAPPOINT. The place has this cool retro vibe but still feels relaxed, and the mimosa flight was a fun way to kick things off. I got the Crab Florentine and a side of tater tots and everything was fresh and tasty. Service was mostly friendly, though things slowed a bit when it got packed, and the vibe is busy enough that it feels like classic brunch chaos (in a good way). All in all, a solid spot in old town if in the mood for brunch or lunch.

My friends and I ate brunch here on New Year’s Day 2026. We needed a hearty meal after a magical experience the night before, and we were not disappointed. The physical environment was light and warm without being overwhelming. Despite not having a reservation on a busy day, we were greeted with kindness and accommodation and our group of four was seated within 5 minutes of arrival. Our server and bartender, Charity, was absolutely top tier. She brought us drinks and water quickly after we were seated and treated us with care and genuine warmth. The food was soul-filling and came out quickly. I had the egg breakfast and it was the perfect amount of food. The potatoes were well seasoned and the biscuit was hot and delicious. There was one dish we weren’t too keen on, not because it wasn’t good but just because it didn’t sit right with the rest of what we ordered at the time. Charity had the discretion not to charge us for that particular dish, which in my opinion was an example of going above and beyond to make us feel cared for. We were also not made to feel rushed to finish our meal. Overall the experience was an absolute delight, and we left feeling nourished and full. Highly recommend!

The food we ordered was great, everything was delicious and fresh, they also have crab Florentine , the crab cakes was well seasoned cooked well, service was quick, it’s huge restaurant and beautiful old style decor, highly recommended to anyone coming here.

My husband found this place when we went to Eureka, CA. It has the 1950s feel to it and the food and the service is definitely great here. I ordered a simple eggs and sausage breakfast. There is an option to swap the hash browns for tater tots. I was not disappointed with that decision because the tots are crispy and seasoned well. We also ordered waffles with Bacon and it was also a good combination. Service is pretty good. There was only 1 server but she did not neglect us and did her best to provide excellent service. I would go back to this place if I get the chance again in the future.

A laid back place for having a late brunch. Loved the atmosphere, the food was not too fancy, it was not served with sides for instance. The house coffee was okay. We ordered Benedict, waffles and a Mexican egg dish. They were small portions for the price, but overall good tasting. The service was good. Nothing out of ordinary.

excellent service and the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with an elegant ambiance. Breakfast was an absolute pleasure. The egg breakfast was just what I needed in this cold weather and the coffee from Gold Rush wasn’t anything like the average burnt cup of joe you might find at a regular diner. The biscuits and gravy were top notch, with little pieces of bacon in the gravy rivaling even the best sausage gravy from around town. the biscuits were clearly made in restaurant and were the lightest and fluffiest I’ve found in Humboldt so far.

Interesting how quiet it.seemed to stay in such a boxy hard surface space. Vintage fixtures for the most part, all well installed and stately IMHO. A large dark wood bar and fairly impressive bar back.
We came for breakfast after 9, and the place seems to pick up at 10 on a Saturday. Loads of 2 and 4 tops, easily modified for larger groups. Several.counter height tabke options, too.
The menu is longish, and the few things we had were quite well executed. One of the fewer breakfast or brunch spots in our travels that offer a non-pork meat option. The apple-chicken is sweet, can’t offer an opinion on the turkey bacon. Paper doilies on the plates were confusing, maybe inherited in bulk, more likely to keep things from sliding off.
Pleasant and plentiful staff. A friendly and bust place that seems to be a hit with just about everybody.
