Really liked the fried chicken tacos and baja shrimp tacos. The brisket tacos were a little dry and I wouldnt try those again. Service was quick and staff friendly.

Tin Roof is more about the food than it is service in my experience. That is not a bad thing, it just is what it is. The only drawback to ordering tacos I have found is that they don’t seem to hold up when taking to-go, at least what I order. Having ordered both ground beef and shredded beef on several occasions, I have found the meat not well strained of fat and that gets absorbed into the tortillas which then falls apart. The food is enjoyable but suggest dine-in over takeout.

We were out and about and were ready for lunch. We drove by Tin Roof Tacos and decided to give it a try. It was 1 pm on a Wednesday.
The place was not busy, which we like, and being retired, we always try to go out during the week at off hours to miss the lunch and dinner crowds. You order at the counter and they will bring the food out to you. My wife had two chicken and one fish tacos, and I had two grilled fish tacos. They are $3 a taco, and on the small side, single tortilla. Mine were good, but only about 4-5 bites. My wife thought her tacos were just OK.
Not sure we’ll be back, given all the options we have for tacos in the Treasure Valley, but we wish Tin Roof Tacos well!

We love Tin Roof Tacos! If we have to drive in to Boise or Meridian for anything we are likely to go to Tin Roof while we are there! The Nampa Tin Roof is good too, but they were out of Queso the only time we went there.

First time here, visiting from AZ. Hadn’t heard of this place, but we wanted to try something new. Being from AZ, we know tacos!
This is a counter order place with your name being called to pick up your order from the counter up front. They have a few sauces on that counter to try out. I tried the Jabenaro, and it was very tasty. I ordered 3 tacos, one chicken, one fish, and one beef. I think the chicken was my favorite, followed by the fish. My wife ordered the brisket and a quesadilla. The taco was good, and the qusadilla was ok.
I recommend you give this place a try. We’ll be back on our next trip to ID.

Tin Roof Tacos are delicious! It’s not your traditional street tacos, which makes it unique. Also make sure you get the chips and queso. It’s one of the best tasting ever! I’ve been numerous times and it’s consistently good.
