A truly local experience. Penne pasta tossed with sauteed garlic and broccoli, served with garlic toast. Chicken Quesadillas, served with salsa and sour cream.

I want to express my dismay of Dr. Rick Jetters horrible one star review for this restaurant. Please read this and I think it will make sense.

But first I want to talk about the amazing service, being greeted when I first walk in the door by the hostess. The dining area was clean, they greeted me immediately, and our drink order. The chicken wings, the cheeseburger and the loaded tater tots were amazing. There’s no fake cheese in this restaurant. I will come here time and time again.

I’m putting myself out there by saying this, I am a business owner, and I try my hardest to make sure that all my customers are satisfied, and if they are not, I definitely have communication with them and try to make things right. Today it’s too easy to just say something horrible about a service or a business, and when someone does this, it can greatly impact and hurt the privately owned business or restaurant getting that negative review.

It hurts more than people realize.
In my experience as a business owner, I want to take constructive criticism and be given the opportunity to make sure that my customer is happy, but there are some people that you just can’t please. There are some people that are not honest and take it upon themselves to try to ruin and hurt perfectly good people and the businesses that they run and own.

I grew up being told to not throw stones in a glass house. I think we all know what that means.. So when I have a good experience at a place and I look at the reviews and somebody bashes the family owned business that I had a good experience with. I do a little due diligence and I look into the person that found it necessary to give their two cents when it’s not warranted.

So let’s find out a little bit about Dr. Jetter. Dr. Jetter if I were you, I would not send any more reviews out ever. If people are reading this go ahead and Google his name. When you Google his name you’re gonna find out that this man committed fraud, lied to the police and other local authorities, and was basically suspended and fined for his blatant lies. He even apologized and admitted that he was not being honest in regards to what he was being charged with. I’m not going to get into any more details than this, if you’re interested, look it up and you will quickly learn and realize that people like this should keep their mouth shut, and not try to hurt reputable businesses, and make things up.

We are all trying to make a living and if something was not satisfactory, he could’ve spoke up and I’m sure they would’ve made it right. I’ve only had good experiences coming here and people like this need to be mindful of their own experiences their own history, their own shortcomings and keep their mouth shut if they don’t have anything nice to say.

. I strongly recommend people come in support this restaurant.. The food is amazing. It’s well priced, and you will not be disappointed.. Shame on you doctor if you’re even allowed to be a doctor anymore

Due to some of negative remarks my husband and I have stayed away from North End –However the other night due to the weather we really needed to get out. It is the closest to us and figured why not. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Vinnie who was hilarious. Ordered the pretzel–was awesome–then ordered our food–Came out hot and perfect–Made sure the fries were crispy and hot–They were–Again had a great time and even talked to another couple at the bar who I believe were regulars–We will be back!!! Don’t listen to the negative nellies–See for yourself–We did!!

We were having a double birthday celebration for my husband and son. The food was excellent, right down to the freshly squeezed orange juice! Thank you for a wonderful chance for us to enjoy a meal together!

Idk who messed up but we Waited nearly 2 hours for our food. People behind us in line ate before us. The chef came out and asked us if we got our food and when we said no, he asked “are you sure you didn’t get your food?” that alone says it all. Anyway, the food ended up coming after an additional 20 minute wait and being adequate but, definitely not going back.

Food and service were okay.
Beef on Weck would have been better if it was sliced thinner.
Dining room area was dark and some people had issues reading the menus.
It’s a decent option for food and drinks while in the Kenmore area.

Stopped in here a few times to have brunch since our initial visit. Everything is always good and the beers are ice cold. Nick the bartender is always fun to have on staff when we come in. Keep up the great work. We will be back for sure.

(*added/edited after reply from owner as much of what she wrote is inaccurate and not representative of what happened)

*Contrary to the reply of the owner- This was our first, only, and last time that we came to this restaurant and not one person in our group has ever played trivia here before. That we have been here multiple times is a blatant lie. I do not even live in this country!

We called for a reservation. They said they didn’t take resevations but would keep it in mind if we are a large group. Trivia was only in the front of a small room with only a few tables. *We looked at the pictures listed on Google again- there are only 4 tables for 4 people in the front room, not seating for 45 as claimed by the owner. One of those tables was for the DJ Trivia host. Two tables were pushed together for a large group.

We were seated in the back room. The only TV in the room for trivia had an exteme glare, so we couldn’t read the questions. *We asked if the owner could close the blinds/put down curtains and she said she didn’t have any. She did offer to move us to another table in the same room, however, even if we were to have moved tables, the glare was so intense it wouldn’t have mattered and the owner even agreed to this fact at the time so we stayed where we were.

The mozzerella cheesesticks and deep fried ravs were good. However, the fettuccine alfredo was completely inedible. We ordered a burger without anything, and it came with lettuce and tomato. We ordered honey mustard wings, they didn’t have it, and we found that out 30 minutes after ordering. The gravy was too thin. My friend returned his mixed drink stating it tasted just like water. *As far as the owner’s statement of it being a “one off”, look at all the reviews since this place has changed ownership and you will see we are not the only ones complaining about the quality of food.

A homeless gentleman walked in the restaurant asking for money for the bus. After giving him $2, we were scolded by the manager in front of the whole restaurant for encouraging that behavior. *While the owner did offer to give my mother the money back that she gave the gentleman, it is a blatant lie that the owner did not chide my mother. She left my mother feeling extremely embarassed and not able to get a word in edgewise.

The workers started putting the chairs up and even turned the lights out on us before 9 pm. They made it clear we should go. *The owner’s statement hat the footage was checked and showed the lights were not turned off cannot be, as our whole party confirms it happened and was a topic of conversation at that moment.

The final thing that ruined the night for us was the bartender. We won 3rd place as well as a free drink at the bar for the best answer. When we tried to get it, the bartender said we had to come back the next week for it. The bartender then talked down to us and she rolled her eyes towards other guests. It really ended the night on a sour note.
*I understand, that that is how the gift cards work if you win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place and that it is the rule from DJ Trivia. However, that is not what I am talking about. We had been told by the DJ Trivia host that we had had the best answer of the game, and to go directly to the bar for a free drink right then.

In the end, the abrasive and accusatory response of the owner, instead of acknowleding and learning how to improve her restaurant, is representative of what to expect at this establishment.

On a semi-crowded Friday afternoon, a little past 4:00 p.m., my friend and I decided to try N.E. because we heard it has changed owners, here and there. We ordered the loaded TOTS!!!! as an appetizer. They were truly disgusting and we should have sent them back. Fake cheese poured on top. Little to no bacon. Tons of raw onions throughout the entire dish. I like onions and hated this dish. All we were chewing on were RAW onions. We decided to only order something really quick, after that nightmare appetizer, so we went with a single order of chicken fingers–plain with hot sauce on the side. We had to pay $1.00 for blue cheese and two three inch celery chunks. The fries were “homemade” and greasy-gross! The Simpsons cartoon was on the TV in the dining area. The final straw was when the wait staff came out to wash a table and it smelled like PINE SOL! The entire eating area stunk so bad! It was enough to have us leave without finishing our drinks or food.

Service was slow, restaurant was not busy. My drink took a seemingly longer than average time, and when I asked about it, the server replied ‘I don’t know, I don’t make the drinks.’ When I did get it, it was made wrong, I ordered a ‘naughty margarita’ which was supposed to have muddled jalapeños and a salted rim (don’t most margaritas?) When my drink arrived, there was no salt on the rim and no sign of any jalapeños. Since the server had made it clear that she doesn’t know anything about the drink, I brought it directly to the bar. When I asked about the muddled jalapeños, she said that they were in there but would I like more? When I asked about the salt, she said that the server didn’t tell her to put salt on the glass. The description on the menu specifically said a salted rim, but what do I know…The bartender took my drink into the kitchen, I’m assuming to get the jalapeños, came back, put it in a new glass with salt, but still no muddled jalapeños. At that point, I just took the drink. The food was average. There are way too many good restaurants in the Buffalo area to return to this one.
