The service is excellent as well as the food. Both meals come out hot with a smile. I was surprised when I ordered beans and cornbread and it stated cornbread; however it came out with a cornmeal pancake instead. It was OK, but I would have preferred actual cornbread. The breakfast meal was excellent. The hash browns were a little overcooked and very hard. The building is very old, but clean, even the restroom. They also offer a selection of delicious pies. Very friendly place.

This is about as close to a literal hole in the whole wall as I can think of, or at least the entrance seems that way. I wasn’t sure what I was going into, but no fear the food is good. Once inside the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
I had breakfast there today and it was quite good. I had the sunrise special or something like that and it included pancakes. They actually brought out a full bowl of pancake syrup! What a surprise.
I would dine here again.

A single waitress he fled about 30 patrons when I got there. I had the pancakes, over-easy eggs and sourdough toasts ( the bread was delicious and the pancakes were already sweet, so a little syrup did the trick)
Best of all, it reminded me of German eateries where you sit down wherever there’s a chair available and folks were most welcoming when I sat together with a large family, no one fuzzed about it

If you are hungry and looking for a good old country breakfast, this is the place to go. Staff are super friendly, very attentive and the food came out quick. Very local friendly like you could sip a cup of coffee for hours there and just talk to the town people.

This tiny country-style mom and pop restaurant is such a hidden treasure. Cozy atmosphere, friendly vibes, and the food? Chef’s kiss . Every bite was delicious. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to!

I ordered fried chicken thighs, mashed taters, greenbeans, and orka. The chicken had an excellent crunchy skin, but the meat was a tad dry.

The mashed potatoes or gravy are not homemade. The greenbeans were lacking in flavor, and the roll was hard as a rock.

My husband ordered chicken fried steak, and it was excellent!

The server was diligent in keeping out drinks full and checked on us often.

The atmosphere was pleasant. Mostly, older folks

The booths are not padded!

This restaurant was one of those down-home places where locals come out to eat. The only visible parking are spaces out front, but I was told you could park in the back or on the side. The service was what is expected from a local diner, friendly and down to earth. My husband had chicken fried steak, and I had chicken fried chicken. Both did not need steak knives. They were good size. The cfc took up nearly the whole plate but unfortunately was mostly breading. The gravy was awesome.
If you order the salad as one of your sides, it comes in a side dish bowl (very small).
We might try the place again and get a burger. I’ll let you know!!

From the walk in the door till you get up from the table to leave, this is the most friendly atmosphere of a little dinner you could expect. Seating is anywhere you’d like, and a hostess brings you menus and takes your drink order as well as brings the drinks and silverware too. The dining room is on the small side, but there’s no shortage of tables. We didn’t have to wait to find a table and the service is excellent. Our server’s name was Echo, and she has such a bubbly and upbeat personality. It was our first time here, so we inquired about all the things she lived to eat as well as the specials for the day. Today was fried pork chops or chicken and dressing. We decided to go off the menu and see how they fared with our usual out to eat favorites. My husband had the chicken fried steak, and it came with 3 sides; he went with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and fried okra. My son ordered a hamburger steak and a double order of French fries. Me, I went with the chicken strip dinner, side salad, pickled beets, and fried okra. We were so fluffy that when we finished, we didn’t get to order from the dessert counter. I wish I had had more roo. In my tummy because they have a cheesecake with cherries or with carmel, chocolate, and nuts! It was such a great mean. Can’t wait to eat here again. I’m ordering my dessert first next time, though.

Worked in madill this week from out of town. Came here on two occasions. Service is quick, food is perfect. Everything you would want from a small town diner! Will be my go to anytime i am working near here.

Ordered 3 eggs, gravy, hamburger steak, hashbrowns and toast with a side of tomatoes. They know how to make a good breakfast.
