The short beef rib soup’s broth was really good. I appreciate the amount of glass noodles in it. The beef can be tenderized more, but not a deal breaker.
My husband had the octopus kimbap in hot stone, and he really likes it.
I forgot to mention the banchan. They were really good and matched our entrees.
Restaurant is spacious and clean.
Love the location as it’s easy to get to but the parking sometimes can get packed as there are new restaurants and coffee shops in the same plaza.
The food was awesome. The gentleman that served and helped us shared about how much effort and passion his dad puts into the Seafood pancake. It’s the best I’ve had.
Last, I love the true mom and pop shops going up against all these new restaurants here in Irvine and Costa Mesa. The inside of the restaurant is clean and welcoming as it doesn’t have that feeling of it looks nicer than the food itself.
Usually as soon as you start with appetizers, you know if this Korean restaurant good or not, especially Kimchi, and Myung Dong sure does a good job.
We ordered their Gilbi BBQ and Jingseng Chicken Soup, I’ll give 9.5 out of 10.
Parking might be difficult during busy hours, since it shares the same lot as several popular restaurants and a cafe. Good luck lol
