Enjoy breakfast, lunch, or ice cream here! We had an enjoyable breakfast in the dining room today. It’s a nice atmosphere, bright and comfortable. I enjoyed a fantastic banana split on their patio here on another occasion. The server was very friendly – great experience – lovely atmosphere!

This was my first time here. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they serve breakfast all day, which is always a good thing in my book. The food was not only really tasty, but it came very quickly. I mean, like in a flash. I also got to get some potato pancakes, and they were wonderful. Really took me back to my childhood. This is a place that is ice cream but also food, local favorites like Lake Erie perch and chicken paprikash, as well as other typical Cafe offerings. The outside of the historic building is charming, and there are tables on the porch and in the garden. I highly recommend eating there if you can. The inside is just average, but eating on the porch, with such a great breakfast delivered so quickly, I was quite happy. I’ll be back. And next time I’ll also be trying the ice cream!

Lisa was very unprofessional. She showed no customer service skills . They were out of mostly everything. Couldn’t make select sundaes . Ordered a milkshake instead and it was like water drinking it. Terrible quality. Overpriced for what you get. Highly disappointed.

I didn’t have much time so I ordered a breakfast sandwich to go. It was eggs, cheese and sausage on a bagel. It was ok, nothing special. But it was $7.50! Very expensive for what you get. I will return and try their other offerings.

It’s a cute and historic joint. We had perch combo and fries and burger and fries. Fish was a bit dry, but fries were good. Friendly environment and great variety of ice cream.

My friend was denied entry, at the door, by their employee because she had a service dog. The employee said “it was their right as a private establishment to deny a service animal”. She then proceeded to shoo us off of the front porch outside for the same explanation. Very rude and ILLEGAL. Her service dog is calm and very well behaved and trained. Shame on this private establishment for denying service to a terminally ill woman because of her well trained service dog. I’ve been going here since I was a child, but they’ll never get my business or any of my friends’ and family’s business again.

My review is solely based on breakfast. We stayed at Captain Bell and received a gift certificate for breakfast. It’s a cute and quaint home, loved the atmosphere and we were able to get seated quickly. Service was great and drinks, coffee and food came quick. Coffee was constantly refilled which I truly appreciate that from an avid coffee drinker. Would recommend when in town and looking for a good breakfast.

A great place to bring the family. Lots of different choices that taste great. Service was awesome and the employees were very kind and helpful. A local favorite with great access to nearby stores and a fair parking lot. Very well cared for restrooms and the front was also quite clean. Large portions of delicious flavours. Family friendly. Definitely surpassed my expectation. Great place overall!
