This is my favorite spot to sit with a group of friends, watch a game, and enjoy some delicious BBQ. I have been to both the West Ashley and Downtown locations multiple times and have yet to be let down by the service. I often arrive with a group of about five to eight people well before a game starts and have never had an issue. If you are coming for a game, I recommend getting there early so you do not have to stand around and wait for a table.
Now for the food… it is so good! I am someone who loves sauces and condiments, so I absolutely love how each table has a variety of options you can mix and match instead of having to ask a server.
I personally always get a meat platter with a side of coleslaw and mac and cheese or a pulled pork sandwich. You truly cannot go wrong here. Some of my friends rave about the tacos, while others are obsessed with their iconic wings.
Don’t miss out on their incredible tots or brisket nachos. They have several great appetizers that are perfect to share with the table!

GREAT VIBES GREAT STAFF GREAT FOOD. The fried ribs with the white sauce might be the best bite of meat I’ve ever had. The brisket chili and Brunswick stew were also great sides. My girlfriend got a burger with Mac and cheese as the side and it was also really good. If I visit Charleston again I will for sure be back!

Home Team never fails to exceed expectations!
We had a group of about a dozen hungry men and it was 15 minutes before the kitchen closed…yet, we were seated, served, fed, and well taken care of by the entire staff. The food was quick, fresh, and tasty. The drinks were cold, wet, and fast. The server was polite, accommodating, and efficient.
Overall, a great experience.
And we come in as a group 4-5 times a year. So, they have solidified our patronage going forward.

If you’re craving some good BBQ, this place really hits the spot! The food was absolutely delicious—smoky, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The portions are generous, so you definitely won’t leave hungry. On top of that, the service was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Coming here to watch college football is actually a top 5 event in Charleston (just beware because you might not remember leaving)!! Took all my friends here on my birthday and had an absolute BLAST. the food is always amazing- especially the wings with Alabama white sauce and the loaded tater tots. And the pulled pork!! Be careful with game changers . Don’t forget to hydrate. Also so dog friendly which is such a plus. I met the cutest little puppies.
Only downside is sometimes I gets so busy so you have to wait in line to get in but that’s typical anywhere

My second time ordering a burger.And both times they have been spectacular. So far, hands down the best takeout burger, you can get in charleston. Please, whatever you guys are doing.Don’t change it.

Always amazing, killer fried ribs and fried Mac and cheese never miss. I usually get the nachos and they have never disappointed me but today I got a pork sandwich on special and it was top notch. I have been coming here to see Anna for years, she designs literally the best cocktails in this town but today she wasn’t working and my waitress was Lucy and she was so fun while also being effective and adorable. Loved it!!! It’s hard to go to a BBQ place when you can’t eat pork and beef, but your husband loves it…so you go. We tried Home Team for the first time, and they have won themselves two new customers for life! Smoked CHICKEN WINGS (would make a meal for me), a salad I can look forward to (NOT a “we’re a BBQ place, you want a salad here’s a wimpy bowl of lettuce” it’s a really good salad)! (Note: I would like some diced chicken for the salad, I can’t eat that huge salad AND a quarter chicken add on, but a bit of diced would be awesome). I’m not a turkey fan, but it’s there for the fans. My husband was very happy with his hash/rice and chicken wings. So many good things on the menu to try, we didn’t come hungry enough. Next time. Y’all, go hungry!!

Showed up to lunch today and felt lost at first. Thanks to Amelia, I was really showed the way and she put me onto some of the best menu items. I suggest getting six wings, a pulled pork slider, and mac & cheese. This was a really nice experience and I recommend it to anybody 10 times out of 10.
