I decided to try this place because the reviews were good. I tried asking questions about menu. The lady with the liner on her lips was so unfriendly. I felt it was because I didn’t speak the language. She rushed me to order and the food was nasty. Over cooked pork very chewy and NO FLAVOR!! Lastly the price!!!?? I paid 7.38 for two pork street tacos. Will never return.

First time here and boy was I impressed. Their street tacos are amazing!!! Asada and Pastor are to die for… I ordered 20 minutes right before they were close and the receptionist was so polite and nice. Would definitely come back here. 10/10

The food is pretty good, I had the Molcajete Rey and it was delicious, it was spicy enough to bring out the hungover! The Salsa and chips need to Improve the salsa was very watery and not enough flavor! The Rice was decent , and the salad was fresh but very simple! The service was awesome!!

Went there for menudo. I could have saved money and gone to wal mart and got their canned menudo, as it looked and tastes exactly like canned menudo. Extremely disappointing!! I know what fresh homemade menudo looks like. Specially from michoacan amd this was not it. I love wal mart menudo I’ve had it plenty of times to know when its canned walmart menudo. Nothing against it, but not what I want when I got to a restaurant.

Since the owner responded, I’m editing to add that I did not order through a delivery app. I ordered directly through the restaurant website. The one that literally says your restaurant name then .com. Also that the frustration wasn’t with the refund not being immediate, it was that one was NOT OFFERED. Not a receipt stating it was refund, not a cancelled order, nothing besides she couldnt do anything even after coming back up to the store like she said.
Placed an order online and received a call that they are out of tres leches. Cool, no problem I’ll just get it refunded. She tells me she can’t refund it but can replace it for churros. I don’t like churros so I don’t want those and want a refund. She says she can’t do a refund and if I want a refund I have to come all the way up to the store to get one??? Why do you have an online ordering system if you don’t know how to work it.
Editing to add that I went up to the store to make sure I could get my refund, and once I got there she told me she still couldn’t give me a refund because I ordered online. Calls someone else to translate and the girl on the phone says there’s nothing they can do and the person that can issue a refund isn’t answering. They want me to just leave the store with no refund and wait on this person to answer the phone like if that’s a reality. Girl on the phone ends up handing up on me after going back and forth with them. After standing there demanding some type of resolution they finally come from the back with a cash refund. Ridiculous that I had to fight for my own refund for food they didn’t have.

The place is very nice and clean, for the most part it’s quiet not loud and you get to eat your food calmly and safely. The food taste amazing it actually tastes like Mexican food from Mexico and not a mix of texmex which a lot of places in Kansas City tend to serve. Coming from Los Angeles it is hard to find authentic Mexican food without the added text in it because it feels like it’s watered down Mexican food little plan tasteless and the salsas they taste like going to buy in the store this place on the other hand have more authentic taste and a tinted salsa then most of the places we’ve gone to. As I post this this will be my second time coming around the first time around I had a torta al pastor and that was really good this time around I had chicken mole and it’s yummy My wife she had chicken beef sausage and shrimp molcajete. She loved it, my daughter under him had a burrito this time and the last. This is our second year being here in Kansas City or still discovering the city and still trying to find authentic Mexican restaurants and for myself burger joints that will please my appetite and taste buds so far this one is a good hit if you want authentic Mexican food so two thumbs up. The servers were nice The only reason why I gave them four is because they don’t come as often as other places do to refill either drinks or salsa but apart from that their attitude is positive and nice.

This place that I once looking forward to going to has now changed into what I would consider a rip-off, unable to get an enchilada on the side without buying rice and beans. Not that big of a deal, I’m buying 2 street tacos for over $3 a piece. What you will see in the picture are As small as you can make it barely a taco is worth of meat. It’s a bill for 2 tacos, a shrimp enchilada, rice and beans was over $30. Keep in mind The rice beans and 2 enchiladas was over $17 in the portion sizes are very small.
Very disappointing.
So instead of just, I’m doing a couple of a La card items, some rice and beans and tacos. You now will no longer get my business.
Enjoy the tip on top of that. It would be the last one you get from me. You could go just about anywhere else for less money. This also explains why the place only had about four patrons in it.
And now I am off to get some more food. After spending $30 for 2 people. It’s pretty sad, can’t believe they are still in business. I like to support local businesses, but I do not like getting ripped off.
The fact of not getting more than five or six spoonfuls of beans and rice, which cost pennies, seems beyond ridiculous. Very funny, how a lot of pictures show a half or three quarter cup scoop rounded as a portion size. But apparently not today, and apparently not for takeout.
