Went on a first date here around 6pm on a Wednesday evening in January. The waitress was very friendly and informed us that they were doing Happy Hour all evening. So we had a bottle of Pinot Noir for half price and we shared the dolmades and the lamb sausage flatbread from the Happy Hour meal menu. Both items were delicious. And the food was enough quantity for the two of us. Easy to have a conversation. It wasn’t very loud despite being busy. The dolmades had turkey meat inside.

Mediterranean Grill with Greek influence. Quality always fresh, taste always delicious. Some of our favorites are their Lamb Chop entrée, chicken entrées and wide variety of vegetarian dishes. House-made baklava is exquisite. Good wine selection, family friendly, and exceptional service. Plenty of indoor and outdoor covered seating.

Stopped by Olive Pit for lunch with my mom and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful everything was. The shrimp skewer was perfectly seasoned and bursting with fresh, savory flavor. The rice, paired with tzatziki sauce, was a standout—light but rich with Mediterranean herbs. Roasted potatoes were spot-on: crispy on the outside, tender inside, and well-seasoned.
One small downside was that I had to order a side of hummus for the pitas (an extra $2.50), which felt a bit steep considering it’s usually a standard accompaniment. Overall, it’s a bit pricey for a lunch stop, but the quality of the food justifies it. Definitely a spot I’d return to when craving fresh, satisfying Mediterranean fare.

Surprisingly nice sit down restaurant with little wait time. Our waitress Brittney did an amazing job serving us, she made great recommendations for our dinner. We ended up with the lamb burger with rocka salad, chicken lemon soup and the hummus with pita bread. Now we’re hoping to come back to try the other meals she mentioned .

I used to love coming here for the Greek penicillin (Avgolemono soup) and a village salad. Unfortunately the past few times I came in after 8:00 pm I was turned away. The hours say they close at 9:00 but they don’t even ask if I’m interested in take out or a quick order. As a fellow chef, I understand how frustrating it can be when people come in close to closing time but I personally like to turn a profit on my business so I take orders until the wheels fall off. Olive Pit Grill must be doing so well that they don’t need my business so I go to Athen’s West or Christaki’s in Tustin now to get my soup and salad even though I live a mile away from Olive Pit. I’m writing this review as a courtesy to the owners of this restaurant because I see that they’re hiring a kitchen manager on Indeed.com, I considered applying just to attempt to change the service mentality but it’s not the kind of operation I usually work for. Maybe start closing at 8:00 PM if you don’t want people coming into your restaurant after 8:00 PM. It’s embarrassing to get turned away at like 8;15/8:30, I could understand if it was 8:50/8:55 but a soup and salad can be served to-go in less than five minutes so the team is just leaving money on the table because they are lazy and perhaps not in alignment with the owner’s bottom line.

Olive Pit Grill in Huntington Beach is hands down my favorite spot for incredible Mediterranean food! Their Garden Salad is always crisp and refreshing, the Lamb Kabobs are perfectly seasoned and tender, and the Grilled Octopus… truly next level — so flavorful and cooked to perfection every time.
I have used Olive Pit Grill for multiple parties and gatherings, and the food consistently arrives fresh, beautifully prepared, and to the highest standards. My guests always rave about it!
If you’re looking for delicious food and reliable catering, look no further — Olive Pit Grill never disappoints! Highly recommend!

So far everything here has been great. It is a very cozy place with a small dining experience feel. The place is not too big however the parking can get a little tricky during the weekend when everyone is here. A nice outdoor seating area when the weather is nice outside and the food is delicious. You have to try the feta fries they are delicious. They always have new specials are daily food specials changing so check the board before you walk in.

Usually my favorite, but today I had lots of hard rice in my food 🙁
I opted not to tell the staff, so I guess it is on me…I’m sure they would have made it better – I’m just not one to complain…

The kitchen needs some fine tuning but service was good and I would return. The first Spanakopita was barely warm and not crisp but our server had it replaced with another and removed from the bill. I wouldn’t order it again but appreciated her effort. The lamb chops and shish Kebab were both very rare so be sure to specify if you want your meat cooked medium or more. Rice was over cooked and Mediterranean salad had too much dressing but the Tzatziki and Tabbouleh were both very good. I look forward to trying some more of the mezze which seem to be their strong suit.
