TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Really nice staff and really good good. I’m from outside the area and just stumbled upon this Dave’s location so I was very excited to try it out for the first time. I placed an order online and mistakenly added the cauliflower chicken when I wanted actual chicken. I pulled up to the window, one car in front of me, and they kindly adjusted my order with no problems. The way time was about less than ten minutes but I don’t mind because that means my food is fresh and hot. Again really nice staff. Quiet and clean area.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a very kind young man named Isiah. He took our order and we sat down, I’m gonna get a bit personal and talk about my home life that day. I had a really bad day and I went out with my mom afterwards and we got some lunch together. Isaiah truly brighten my day. It almost made me emotional when I got in the car. Isaiah is very kind and helpful and did his job correctly and fast and attentively. He checked up on us multiple times asking if we needed anything. And is positive demeanor really turned my day around. Thank you Isiah. I can only give you 5 stars but you deserve 10.

Every time I come into Dave’s I always get satisfied with the food and the service, but this time I had an ever better experience dining in with the employee that served me, Isaiah. His service was genuinely awesome and he was so cool and very professional and friendly and I haven’t had any experience like this in any other Dave’s restaurant besides this one, so great job Dave’s for hiring Isaiah. Yall should promote him to a manager if he already isn’t one lol!

The worker Miguel was elite in customer satisfaction. I noticed that Dave’s had removed the mozzarella sticks from their ordering options from Uber eats. I called in to the store. Miguel answered the phone and he said yeah they removed it because corporate decided to do that to keep up with the demand. I understood, but then I asked if I place an order that’s equal value to the three-piece mozzarella sticks, can you swap it out? He said no problem just tell me the name on the order and I’ll get it done. The man kept his word and he got it done.

Very great food. I’ve only been twice so far, but usually the wait has not been long. The manager Miguel and service worker Dominic were very nice and helpful, and the food prep team in the back obviously know what they’re doing. Cool urban interior design combined with a unique fast food experience is a definite A+ in my book.

A mixed bag the food is good. The price is a little high. The remodel of the building looks terrific. The menu is simple, but the service really is going to depend on the employees my first visit. It took 14 minutes to get one mail through the drive-through when there was nobody in front of me or behind me, the employee just moved slow. I gave it another try and got my food through the drive-through same order in four minutes with two cars in front of me employee smiled at me called me friend and it was a delightful experience. It’s nice to do business with nice people that care about serving you as their guest.

I visited for the 1st time. So I purchased mild, medium and hot to get a general idea of the different spice level of flavor. I ordered 3 different tenders and a mild sandwich. The fries were unforgettable. I just assume that this food item is not what they are known for. So it wasn’t a surprise that they weren’t good tasting. I tried Dave’s sauce since it seems so many rave about it. I truly think people’s taste buds are dead. The chicken is quite greasy no matter which heat factor you choose on the tenders or sandwich. The sauce itself isn’t anything to write home about so I’m left confused with all the reviews. I liked the medium and mild heat , the hot I just didn’t enjoy it. The flavor palette wasn’t to my liking. I’m glad I tried it to say I did it so I may have an opinion but I don’t need to visit again. The gentleman taking the order was attentive and kind so service was good. There is seating inside the establishment and there were only a few people so plenty of seating at the time.
