While touring the historic district in downtown St. Augustine, we were searching for the best burger in town. At the suggestion of several local shop owners on St. George Street, we stopped in and had lunch at the Prohibition Kitchen. The restaurant itself is wonderful with a beautiful full-service bar. As recommended, we ordered and split the PK Signature Burger. This 1/2 lb. burger is a house blend of short rib, brisket, sirloin, with their smoked bacon red onion jam, fried egg & red dragon cheese. Never had anything like it. It was unbelievable! And the seasoned fries were amazing. A must try if you are hungry down on St. George. IJS

Was busy when we went around 145-2pm on a Friday, not too Loud for the amount of people. Four/Five nice size TVs. First reaction from staff about 10 mins once sitting at the far Bar area, had too wait for 2 seats too open up! Beers: (Yuengling and Rhapsody in Red) could of been colder wasn’t the Coolest when I got to the bottom of my non-iced pint.
Food: Build your own bigger nice sized, FF are crispy and seasoned well! Skirt steak sandwich (medium rare was perfect) has steak shaved 1/8″ thick nice amount on it, onions and tomatoes were sauteed, had a nice sauce on it too…not honestly to sure what it was but definitely went with the sandwich itself. I had the Garlic Mashed potatoes with it! Was Perfect~ Atmosphere was Nice and Amazingly Rustic! Had s a lofted upstairs with seating too. Place holds a Good amount of people for sure. Bathrooms clean didn’t smell like piss or sewage! Waiters and waitress very nice and answered all questions. Even the wife’s 15 throughout the Hour and Fifteen mins there. Prohibition Kitchen definitely was a Awesome choice for our first lunch and a meal in St. Augustine! 3 more days of enjoyment to come~~~Great First Stop. Also nice downtown area with plenty of Selections and Stores!

Another phantom review where I left one two years ago and its no where to be found. So…this is my second time here and I loved it both times.
The service is great, we sat at the bar and were immediately addressed by Grace. She made our drinks super fast and our orders.
This trip we were not that hungry so we just ordered there famous deviled eggs, this days special was a fried chicken and vegetable egg. Amazing.
I have had their burger and wings and their are really made well and fresh.
I love the atmosphere, note this place is packed, all day every day and they don’t take reservations. If you want to go I suggest off hours, we went at 230pm and got seated immediately. By the time we left around 330 there was a very long waiting list.
Parking? Well its St. Augustine, so good luck.

Fun tourist spot! Get there early to put in reservations. We got there right before 4pm and seated about 5:30pm. We were able to go exploring while waiting for our table. The food was delicious! The braised short rib was perfect and flaked as you ate it. The beer was good and cold. Live band wasn’t bad. The staff was nice and never felt like you were in a rush.

Prohibition Kitchen turned out to be a great surprise. The PK burger was really good, cooked just right with solid flavor, and the wings were very good with a nice balance of seasoning and crispiness. The giant pretzel was also a standout, warm, soft, and perfect for sharing.
I’m not really a bar person, but we went as a group and the overall experience was enjoyable for everyone. We even had a 4-year-old and a 12-year-old with us, and it worked just fine. The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming, making it a comfortable spot for adults and kids alike.
Definitely a good spot for groups with dependable food and a fun, relaxed vibe.

Fun place! I liked the live music. No wait for a table. Our server was super nice! I got the chicken… pot pie……? The chicken and the biscuit were great. The mash and veggies were not good. Everyone else got burgers, they enjoyed them.

Great spot to watch a game, have some great beer and food. If you’re in St. Augustine here’s a place I definitely recomend. The ambience is also very cool, very americana, even the restroom is properly themed. I tries the crispy wings, which were great, all 10 pieces of it. Then, like if the wings weren’t enough (they were), I went for the Bootlegger Burger and I didn’t regret it. The Burger was great also. Very cool place!

Seating, despite a waiting time, was flawless. The waiting staff was effective, attentive and knowledgable, and able to describe dishes in a way that made me look forward to the meal. It took a while for our meals to be served, as everything was freshly prepared, and didn’t disappoint. I had chicken wings which had a healthy bite in the after taste, my partner had a potpie, which was unlike other potpies. We both agreed the experience was worth the visit!

This was our first time visiting. We went on a Wednesday afternoon. The atmosphere is dark, a little steam punk/ industrial vintage. It was sunny outside but inside i really felt like I was in a 1920s speak easy at 3am. We had a trainee server and he did a great job. Food didn’t come out too fast or slow. They cooked our burgers to perfection and we got a fantastic portion of the best fries I’ve eaten in Florida. Nice and crispy with the right amount of salt. The menu was a mix of burgers and fun oddities to the typical florida fare. Pork rinds, poutine, or Mac n cheese. I loved the variety of options. The menu is printed on the back of a faux newspaper adding to the theme. They do have live bands around 6pm on certain days and I can see this place absolutely vibing at night. 10/10 recommend if you are on St George Street.
