TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Your hours say 2 AM closing, but when we arrived we were told you’re closed. We came here specifically because of those hours and ended up leaving without eating. Please update your hours so people don’t waste their time.

It was my first time at Dave’s Hot Chicken, and I really loved the slider and fries. The chicken was crispy and tasty, the pickles were yummy, and the signature sauce was great. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. The service was okay. Waited just a tiny bit to be served. The guy who took our order spoke in a very low voice, so it was hard to hear. I give the atmosphere only 2 stars because eating there was a little rough. Our table was very wobbly, and other tables around us went uncleaned. It was a little tight since there wasn’t much room. There were Ramadan decorations hanging from the ceiling, which were pretty but a little odd. There was a very cool graffiti wall. I would definitely come back because of the yummy food!

All I have to say is wow. The flavor of the chicken is impeccable and is complimented well with pickles, Dave’s sauce, and even the honey packets they provided in our bag. I got the medium spice level and it was a good kick of heat that did not make me feel like I was eating fire. When I tried my boyfriend’s hot chicken sandwich, however, I couldn’t get the heat out of my mouth. The flavor profile was still present and made the bite just as enjoyable as it was painful, haha. The fries are crispy with a soft inside (my fav) and should 100% be dunked in the sauce provided for enhanced flavor. The cashier was friendly and provided excellent service. The walls have eye catching murals, as well. Overall, 10/10 experience and will certainly be back for more.

Used to be flavorful and delicious before the company got sold. Now its less seasoning. Also you need to firmly request larger pieces of chicken or they will give you the smallest they can find. The wait time is 15 to 20 mins even if there is nobody else ordering lol ridiculous.

I was really disappointed with this restaurant. It’s not clean at all — I actually found a hair in my food! I definitely don’t recommend it.

The service was a definite highlight, earning a high 4-star rating. Both the food and the atmosphere were also good, each earning a solid 3-star rating. This is a wonderful local spot for anyone looking for a quality visit!

The fast food restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. It has a limited menu. They offer chicken sliders and tenders in various sauces. The sauces range from mild to “reaper” which is the hottest sauce. I ordered the combination that included 1 chicken slider and 1 chicken tender with french fries. I also added a side order of macaroni and cheese. It was very good and not too salty.

I stopped by the store again today hoping to have a different experience. The food was a bit better but the portions were much smaller for some reason! They also forgot to include the French fries for three meals out of the eight meals I ordered. (See photos)
The stickers they put on top of the food container fall out inside the bag and make it very difficult to identify the spice level of each container.
When you place a large order and some of the orders are for children, you start to worry about handing out the wrong container to a child which should have no spice. I believe it’s time to take a break from this place until they get their act together!

Overall, not a bad experience. The chicken seemed like it was precooked and reheated. They should pay close attention to giving out the correct spice level and should cook the chicken on demand instead of reheating it.

To be honest I’m really not into fast food, but my teenage son really wanted to see what the hype is about…. It’s good but not something I’ll come back for.. good for teenagers….the powdery dry spice and pepper is a chocking hazard… I like sauces with heat… and flavor

The cashier was friendly and helpful. Food did not take long before it was ready. Only thing was I asked if the utensils and napkins were in the bag and when I got to the hotel, there wasn’t any. Other than that, I got the 2 tender combo, medium and hot. The hot was the winner for me‼️ Fries perfectly salted imo.
