I’ve been at this diner before, and was always busy , today was not the case. They are following the social distancing and the sanitizing protocol. Very attentive service. The food for the most part was pretty good. If you ask for the pork chops or the steak you might not experience the best flavor. I Didn’t care much for the quality of the meet. I was Not impressed, but is understandable in terms of pricing,You get what you pay for. I gave 5 stars because of the outstanding service. Food taste and presentación 3.5 prices at affordable , not the cheapest place in town. Clean atmosphere. I will definitely come back!

First time in Virginia and we were just looking for a nice and delicious breakfast, we loved this place! Very friendly staff, small and intimate but a nice spot, and the food was great!! We all had different variations of the breakfast combo, my chocolate pancakes (plus bananas) were delicious, my eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was crispy and yummy.

Yummy local breakfast and lunch place. Don’t let the outside fool you, the food is delicious. The service was fast and friendly. I had the corned beef hash with eggs and my wife had the veggie omelet. Both were cooked to order. Next time I come through Lake Ridge VA, I’ll stop here again.

Pros: prices…?
Cons: Small, lack of service, under-cooked items, limited breakfast menu selection.

My wife and I decided to revisit after having a rough first visit shortly after they opened a few years ago. We had high hopes for this diner, considering we don’t have many choices for a good breakfast in Woodbridge minus the chains. Unfortunately we had a rough first visit, and this visit wasn’t any better.

Atmosphere:
On the outside, the diner appears small, with little bit of a tight parking lot. There’s about a dozen tables and a few seats at a small bar. There’s a slight diner-like feel to it, but not much to the interior outside of some pictures on the wall. You walk in and have a register/seating station immediately to your left.

Menu:
The menu is fairly basic with just a breakfast side and a lunch side. The breakfast side has a ‘griddle’ section (really just pancakes, french toast, and waffles, an omelet section with a few simple omelets, a ‘specials’ with a small variety of breakfast like combinations, and also a breakfast sandwiches (2 sandwiches) and kid section. The lunch has a bit more to choose from with some apps, salads, sandwiches, subs, burgers, sides, and beverages, with also a kids menu. The one positive I noticed was menu prices were pretty good.

Food:
My wife ordered the western omelet, which came with hashbrowns and toast, and I ordered the breakfast combo (2 eggs, hashbrowns or home fries, a breakfast meat (bacon), and a choice of waffle, french toast, or pancakes). I ordered my eggs over medium, and both ordered the hashbrowns crispy.

Our food took approximately 25-30 minutes to come out, surprising considering how basic the order was, and with no visits from our server between for drink refills. When our food finally arrived, I first noticed portion size was lacking. I had what appeared to be one and a half strips of bacon, with one crumbled into 3 smaller pieces, together maybe making one good strip at a regular place. My hash browns were really only a few fork fulls worth of potatoes. I cut into my eggs and realized they were way under-cooked for ordering over-medium, the hash browns seemed almost just warmed up, under-cooked for “crispy”, and the bacon was dry and didn’t appear fresh. My wife’s omelet was also under-cooked with the middle being runny. They use was seems like kraft cheese slices for the cheese, and just a little bit of diced veggies for the middle, it was mainly under-cooked egg. The untoasted ‘toast’ was the best part of her meal.

Service:
We weren’t really greeted, more just asked how many and pointed towards a table area. Our server wasn’t very friendly either, and said little outside of just asking if we wanted drinks and if we were ready to order. She didn’t visit to check on us during our long wait, nor say anything about our wait time. We would have mentioned our food being under-cooked and not prepared correctly if she had checked on us or we had seen her after she dropped off our food. She eventually dropped off a receipt and didn’t ask about our food. I wasn’t sure if we paid at our table or at the register, I ended up walking up and checking out with someone else, who also didn’t say anything to us.

Overall, we were disappointed. Between lack of service and the under-cooked and incorrectly prepared food, we don’t see any reason to return nor can recommend. Other than the lower prices, we couldn’t find any positives about our experiences. However, it’s not worth the price if you’re not going to enjoy your visit or your food. We hope another diner comes to Woodbridge that focuses on good food with great service.

I’ve only eaten there once so it’s only based on the one meal. It’s clean inside and the waitress was friendly and attentive. I ordered Eggs Benedict and it was cooked into a hard boiled egg instead of a 3 minute poached egg. Two thin round sandwich style slices of ham on a not toasted English muffin and the Hollandaise sauce was ok. Not home-made. The home fries were orange like they were cooked in Chorizo which would be fine if you had the flavor of Chorizo and not just the grease. I’ll have to try it again to be be fare.
