If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I went for breakfast and got the y12 special. The biscuits and gravy are absolutely amazing as well as the eggs and bacon and sausage I received. Very reasonably priced and the ppl that work here is also just as amazing as Thier biscuits and gravy. I will definitely be back here. Whoever made that FB post thank you for sharing cuz I have truly found my new go to place

What a gem we found! Small local soda fountain/burger restaurant with great prices, GREAT food, and great service. We were greeted when we entered and our server was very helpful and nice. We ordered a cheeseburger and fries which were DELISH, a side of onion rings which were perfectly battered and tasty, and a couple of milkshakes, the chocolate malt and blackberry cobbler. Both were AMAZING! We definitely plan to come back when we are in the area. Highly recommend!

i came to try the burger, heard it was good; they were busy this early saturday lunchtime, i waited almost 30min for my order; got the ‘VOL’ 2- cheese burger; i requested it ‘well done’, go it barely med-rare, lots of ‘pink’ in there; the old man next to me spent his entire visit trying to cough up a lung [ugh!].

My family and I love eating breakfast here. We’ve brought many friends here to eat. Food is great. The waitresses are very attentive and very sweet. Highly recommend this place for everyone. It does tend to get a bit crowded on Saturdays, but it’s worth the wait.

Really enjoyed my homemade potato soup and grilled cheese! The coconut cream pie was also amazing! Very nice folks in there too!! I eat there whenever I go to Oak Ridge! If you haven’t eaten there, you should definitely give it a try!!

After our burgers were served, the 2 cooks began arguing about politics so loudly that there was no way to ignore them. This was not the time nor the place. The waitress came by and asked if we needed anything else. I told I needed them to stop the loud political argument and I was there for the food. It didn’t stop.
I left no tip.

This is one of those institutions of the neighborhood. Servers were very friendly and food was ok. But it took 40 minutes to get our food. With no explanation until the food arrived. “Big to-go order and a large party in the back room.” Which we could not see from our table. Gravy was thin and so were the grits. Food was only warm. We will be back but it will take another few years or so.
