If you are looking for a cute local sushi shop with beach style vibes, this is the place. The limited seating creates a cozy, intimate experience, and the BYOB reduces your bill (which is great) and any headache in choosing a drink.
Service is good considering there is only one server, and the chef was very kind and gave helpful recommendations.
As for the food, the sushi burrito, essentially a large sushi roll, was tasty and filling. The cooked rolls were my favorite, with great flavor and freshness. The regular rolls were decent but slightly underwhelming due to the lack of actual flavor in the sushi and more flavor in the rice. The free cheesecake for leaving a review was a great touch and tasted very good though.

10/10. Delicious sushi and wonderful staff. We enjoyed miso soup and 4 different rolls. The cali roll, Tampa roll, bluezilla roll and the west shore blvd roll. I’m pregnant and had to be selective but the bluezilla was top tier, I just removed the tuna on top. We felt so welcomed. The location is cozy and intimate. We’re not from Florida but our next trip back we will stop by again. Thank you!!

Finally managed to visit this local gem that I had seen reels on in IG for over a year now! Presentation was amazing. Portions were plentiful and the service was friendly. Basically checks almost every box. The appetizers were the stars of the meal. My sister and I couldn’t get enough of them. The last roll pictured was good but unfortunately the second I took a bite of the volcano roll, I felt an instant wave of nausea. There was a taste I couldn’t put my finger on that I didn’t care for. After that, I couldn’t continue eating. I did end up have stomach issues when I left. So why did I leave a higher review? I am hoping this was just a fluke based on previous great reviews I read. My body didn’t respond well to that roll so I am hopeful to be able to edit my review in the future.

Came here from New Tampa area for a little date with my daughter, we absolutely loved the food. The crab rangoon were amazing. And the rolls are very fresh with great texture and variety. The customer service is also TOP! And I will make the trip back again soon

Visiting from Las Vegas, and as a frequent traveler to fresh fish hot spots globally blu wave was an absolute must for sushi lovers. Came in like I do at most sushi spots, a little hesitant. After the first round of fish came I dived in deep and left full and grateful! Thanks Anna for serving us and Blu Wave for providing excellent food. The chef Adam was so talented and you could tell he was a master of his craft.

As someone who was previously a sushi chef I am very picky and wary about trying new sushi places
My girlfriend wanted to try this one and it did not disappoint, the best portioned rolls I have ever received. I generally order 2-3 rolls but would not need to order 3 rolls here
Ingredients were fresh and good quality and the Goddess roll was one of my favorite I have had from anywhere
Would return and this one will be surely going into our Sunday evening dinner rotation
