The food is incredible, they’ve got any type of meat you’re probably craving (buche, birria, lengua, cabeza etc). We got a Cali burrito with carnitas and the quesabirria nacho fries and they were both incredible. The bean dip they serve with chips at the beginning is so good. They LOVE Corona here and serve them ice cold in the bottle with a lime. There’s a row of tables on the ground floor and a bigger room upstairs with murals and disco lights where they do karaoke nights (songs in Spanish). There’s 2 clean single-room bathrooms. They cook meat on a spit after 9 Friday/Saturday out front and it’ll smell delicious from down the block. The prices were decent, it was probably 15-20 for a hearty entree and 7 for a beer. The server was really nice and funny as well. It’s located on the street downtown and you can usually find street parking near there.

The tacos and salsa here are really good and definitely worth trying. The Lengua was very moist and delicious!
The wait for 2 tacos was about 20 minutes, a tad too long in my opinion, but that may have been a one time thing.

This authentic Mexican restaurant is right in downtown Santa Rosa, just across the street from Old Courthouse Square. It has only been open for about 6 months and business continues trying to flow and increase. I would like to first comment on the service there. I give full credit to one of the waitresses, Erika. She is doing a fantastic job with her customer service. She always makes sure her customers are taken care of and she’s very friendly. She is one of the reasons I continue coming back! Next, some of the dishes are actually quite tasty. I would recommend their birria tacos, flautas, sopes, and even pozole! I think their horchata was good and I loved the little strawberries they added on the edge of the cup. They have a salsa bar to choose the salsa of your own liking. They have taco Tuesdays and tacos only go for $1.49! My friend and I are in love with tacos de lengua. They cook the lengua very well. Lengua is cows tongue for those of who don’t know. There is two stories so there is seating outside, downstairs, and upstairs. The second story is actually where they have weekend entertainment. Friday’s are disco and karaoke from 9pm to 1am and Saturday’s are karaoke from 9pm to 1am. The art work painted on the walls are famous people like Frida Kalo and actors on popular Mexican tv shows which is very cool. The only downside is there isn’t easy wheel chair accessibility. So I would just be aware of that. There is parking in front of the restaurant or across the street in a parking lot. The only things I would say that can be improved for increasing clientele is upping the advertising. If you love cheap tacos and the taste of some authentic Mexican food you have found yourself a new home!

I love to come on Tuesdays for taco Tuesday. I ordered pastor which is pork and chicken tacos for $1.49. Unfortunately the pastor was too dry. There was no flavor and it was hard to chew. I wouldn’t recommend. Their chicken was better. I love to see Erika still working there! She continues to be an asset to this restaurant with her bright and positive attitude. I hope management is taking care of her well! I also noticed they started adding lime and orange slices in the water which I find refreshing for both the mouth and the eyes. The glass cups they use are also very sturdy and nice.

I came with my daughter so she could try the best tacos al pastor on this side of the border. They were out of al pastor. She liked the carnitas and the quesabirria. Very good and authentic Mexican food . I’m hoping that they have al pastor when she comes back to visit.

Do not get the super nachos. Ate two bites and threw it away. Not sure what kind of cheese it was but not the typical. The carne asada tasted like beef jerky.

Barbacoa de Borrego con pansita
1/2 lbs order ($16) and 1 lbs order ($20-30 – I didn’t ask)
10 min wait
The consome spilled a bit but I made it home. There could have been way more consome. That’s my only complaint. Ask for more consome! Lol.
The tortillas hecho a mano we’re soaked in the spill disaster so I couldn’t rate them properly
I will get more when I visit Santa Rosa again.

This place is soooo underrated! The service was absolutely amazing our server Victoria was patient and explained what the huitlacoche (corn mushroom) was; highly recommend anyone to try it.

The portions for the price are great.

First time trying this place was walking around and felt that was a place worth trying and I was right , had a cool vibrant decor , ordered the m’acheta with shrimp first time trying it and Iooved it , has generous amount of shrimp , the tortilla was short and crunchy in the same time and felt sooo fresh ( like those sat Taco Bell hhh just kidding) , has plenty of vegetables but not too much to make it , soggy, has a little outside area when it’s cool to watch the downtown streets , glad they were opened on Labor Day , parking was easy and free but don’t know in busy days , bathroom was ok ,
And waitress very friendly with a permanent smile keep it up

3.8 stars is a lie!

This place is delicious. I’ve never eaten a better burrito al pastor than here. They make the meat in the best ways possible, properly seasoned, and the pineapple inside of the burrito was a surprise for me, but made it so tasteful! The staff is also extremely nice.

This place should have 6 stars ⭐️.

The food was just okay—I wasn’t particularly impressed. Our order, which included tacos, tamales, and carne asada, took longer than expected to arrive, and unfortunately, my carne asada wasn’t served hot. After such a delay, I expected better. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I likely wouldn’t return if I find myself in Santa Rosa again.
