Atmosphere- 3 stars- this is a locally owned family restaurant that has been operating for years in Clarksburg WV. It’s a very clean restaurant but it’s trapped in time in the 70s – 80s era. Needs an update big time!! It felt dirty even though it wasn’t dirty. It’s just the outdated environment.
Service- 3 stars- the server was ok but not overly friendly. She did her job. Took awhile to get our food.
Food- 4 stars- I was a little skeptical coming here but it was busy and I had heard good things about the food. I got to say it was pretty good. I got the Ribeye Special Sandwich which claimed according to the menu to have been named best sandwich in WV in 2020. I got to say I can see why- the steak was so tender and juicy not fat or grizzle at all. It had cheese, peppers and came on grilled Italian bread- delicious!! Also had the crinkle fries and they were very good. We also got a cup of Chili with a grilled cheese sandwich. Chilli wasn’t bad but tasted kinda like Wendy’s chili. I have had better grilled cheese sandwiches but it was ok. All in all a good place to eat just please renovate your restaurant soon.

This is my first time here as I passing through and it won’t be my last! This place is phenomenal it has plenty of seating and is family owned. I ordered the fried oysters and they were delicious. As for an appetizer the fried pickle spears are not your traditional batter. These ones were a little bit different with no herbs, but they were delicious. My family member ordered the chicken wings and they Parmesan dipping sauce had a little kick to it. I will definitely be coming back here in the future.

We were heading to Indiana from NJ, started looking for a place to dine in after our 5 hours drive. We recently used the Parkette to cater our wedding. Although we love eating at the restaurant, the Parkette truly went above and beyond for our special day. We can’t say enough good things about them!
All communication was through Logan and he was very prompt and professional. He took the time to answer questions and make suggestions regarding our menu with diet restrictions and allergies. In addition, the catering menu offered so many options that we could reassure all guests were able to enjoy dinner. After many discussions, we decided on salad, rolls, grilled chicken with vegetables, green beans, and roasted potatoes.
On our wedding day, they were very prompt in arrival and setting up. Logan personally came and found us to congratulate us and make sure we were happy. The food was absolutely amazing! Many of our guests continually raved about the food, especially the grilled chicken with vegetables.
In terms of pricing, the Parkette offered great value for the quality and service provided. They worked within our budget while still delivering an exceptional culinary experience.
We wholeheartedly recommend the Parkette for any catering event. They truly made our day special, and we couldn’t have asked for a better catering experience. Thank you, Parkette, for being a part of our celebration!

Great family restaurant! The decor is modern refreshingly open in design. The homemade food was wonderful. We had the “made from scratch” homemade beef vegatable soup, Grandma would be envious. We also had the RibEye Steak sandwhich. There is no wondering why it was awarded as the “Best Sandwich in WV” for 2020! Hand spun real milkshakes and freshly brewed sweet tea. So very glad we happened to stumble on this locally & family owned establishment that has been part of Clarksburg’s food scene since 1955. We WILL be back! YOU MUST TRY THE FRIED GREEN TOMATOES!
