We dined here last night after a suggestion from a local cafè owner.
We were lucky to get a table at short notice near the kitchen. It wasn’t a problem watching the kitchen staff turn out great meals effortlessly.
The food was perfect. The spaghetti cooked al dente with mussels and prawns in a light tomato base. Partner had a delicious pizza, topped off with a lemon torte.
The wait staff were very pleasant and efficient. Highly recommend

Regular customer at Amato’s, tried to book a table of 8 for my wife’s upcoming 50th birthday six weeks in advance requesting a 6pm table.
The response was offering a 5:30pm table for 2 hours, further requesting a £10/head deposit and also requiring a pre-order from the menu.
Was happy to arrive 5:30pm and pay a deposit but not to pre-order as for such an occasion it’s important to order based upon how one feels on the day.
Our request was flatly rejected as if we were a hen party that wasn’t welcome in Amato’s…I did give feedback to the owner who chose not to respond.
No loyalty to regular customers nor attention to special occasion requests…disappointing, Amato’s aren’t the only restaurant in town not that that will bother them.

This was mine and my girlfriend’s first time coming here. I’m currently a supervisor at Toby carvery and we decided to come here to see how different the service cycle is and I’m so glad we did. From start to finish it was brilliant. Lily Seen us the minute we walked through the door to seating us to an immediate drink order. We then had a look through the food menu and we ordered spaghetti bolognaise and a pizza to which we received 6 mins later. Which is incredible.
We had check backs from our waitress which is rare to see. When we finished our meals Lily (to which she was amazing) then took a desert order. Lily was brilliant and is an incredible asset to the team. The staff that we spoke to were also brilliant and we couldn’t thank you enough for bringing such an incredible service.

We ate here after our daughter’s graduation at the nearby cathedral. A very friendly and cosy restaurant. Staff are attentive and the service outstanding. The food was excellent, all our party having a pizza. Our daughter was given a complimentary glass of Prosecco to celebrate her graduation which was a lovely touch.

Food was okay at best, sauces were like water on everything we had. Cheesecake also Very bland. Very expensive for what you get really. Won’t be going again. Service was alright but, had to hail someone down. They were all chatting at the bar for the most part.

Hardly have found an Italian restaurant with all foods are so delicious Their food’s ingredients are so fresh and lightly flavored which make the dishes so much better than others The services provided is one of the key that you will definitely missed Worth recommended ! Don’t forget their desserts!

What a delightful restaurant in which to have an Italian meal. The food was delicious. I had the King Prawn tagliatelle, the sauce was so good!
For dessert we both had Afogato. This was the best Afogato I have had. A tasy decaff, generous portion of ice cream and it comes with a liqueur.
The staff were welcoming and friendly and helpful, the wait time minimal. I liked that the atmosphere was peaceful in that there was no loud music playing making conversation pleasurable. All in all a great experience.
