This is a awesome neighborhood (dive) bar. I want to go back in the evening for the live music but as a neighborhood bar with a great burger this place rocks. The burger was one of the better bar burgers I have had along with the fries. Drinks are affordable and the services is awesome.

The place is a dive. Dark and cozy and clean with no particular smell. It’s a very cool dive. They have a little patio also. The service is really good. Just one guy manages to do it all, at least at lunch .The food is so good, It’s surprising. My husband had a chicken Philly. It was absolutely delicious and my chicken wrap was very tasty. They are known for their fries and that is justified (I am a fries snob, hehe). The side salad for which they charge you a little bit more is definitely worth it. This place is much more for a drink, a band, however their food shines. Thank you

This was my first time here, and I was stopping for a quick bite. I’ve heard the burgers here were good, but I have sat at my table for more than 10 minutes. No one came, no greeted me, no menu, nothing. If it weren’t for a client standing up to get me a menu, I figured it was one of the regulars. It’s really empty, and there are like 10 people at the place. Anyways, I guess I won’t get to try the burger. I will say the service was horrible lol.

I refuse to eat at this dump because it’s filthy and smells. I have frequented there several times over the past few years for music purposes and after the continual attempts by the owner/bartender to stack my tab with drinks I didn’t order, I stopped going. Tipping the owner is also weird. There isn’t ample seating so only a fraction of the patrons get a decent view of the “stage” which is a cramped area by the front door. Fortunately, I can see the majority of the musicians that play here at other better and cleaner venues that don’t try to overcharge patrons.

In all honesty, we had ventured to another restaurant which didn’t sit well with fellow venture seekers (stand or sit in sun) so we pulled out the phones to seek food. Comet appeared and we are SO glad we found. Best chicken sandwich outstanding. Burger actually had flavor along with the other toppings. Fries – fabulous. Great food. Cool looking place. Definitely will go back when in town again….thank you.

It was our first time there. The bartender was a nice guy. Running the bar and taking orders at the tables, he needs a raise. I asked for no salt on my burger and fries because I have high blood pressure and he made sure I got just that. My man and I both had the Comet Classic with fries. Hand patted meat and hand cut fries. Tell the cook he did an awesome job at making sure my meat was fully cooked yet not burnt. If we weren’t leaving Charlotte tomorrow, we would come back again.

I’m visiting from another city and my daughter found this spot while looking for lunch. It was such a great find! Met with kind welcomes and the service was great! We have been in town for three days now and this was by far the best service and meal we have had yet. I got a salad with chicken and my kids got cheeseburgers.

Searching for a good hot dog in Charlotte. After several restaurants over the last few weeks, so far this is the best! Actually it was really good. For old Charlotteans, it’s on par with an Eckerd’s Hot Dog. Yum! And the drinks were good too.

Stumbled upon this bar and grill as I went to Food Lion during my lunch break and decided a burger and fries is what I wanted for lunch. It is right in the same parking center as a food lion, so there are plenty of parking spots to choose from. The inside is fairly small, but with bar seating and outside seating as well. Went around lunchtime, and it was fairly busy. I placed my Togo order and decided to head to Food Lion to get my shopping done. I will say it did take about 30 or so minutes to get the food, which was a lot but wasn’t such a big deal for me. I got the Comet grill burger, which came with bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and pimento cheese. Let’s just say it was delicious! The burger itself was just exactly what I wanted. Now I will say that it did get a bit soggy just from the drive there back to my job. Mainly, it was the tomatoes at the bottom that made the bread soggy, so it was a bit messy, but it was delicious, so I did not mind at all. The fries were delicious as well. They had the right amount of crisp to them and were hot and not soggy, thankfully. I would defeintly come back as I wanted to try their wings out.
