Incredible! Completely blew my expectations away. I haven’t really heard much of this place via a word-of-mouth or on social media. And I’m so glad that I took a chance. I forgot to take a picture before we ate. Our group had general tso’s chicken, house fried rice, mapo tofu, drunken noodle. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I think more people need to rush to try this place!

I love this place. Delicious food, amazing weekly specials, friendly and accommodating staff. I love the Pork Ramen, which can be made gluten free easily. They often have weekend specials, plus Wednesday Dumpling Specials and 1/2 off sake Sunday.

Updated review:
I went to this place because it was recommended by a colleague… I was HIGHLY disappointed… the general tso chicken was not done the traditional way and the chicken nugget like experience was lack luster and the broccoli was going bad and very under cooked. I also tried the dumplings and one bite was enough for me.
Also, really wanted to love the Brussels but it was overly tangy (over powering sauce) under seasoned and nothing to talk about.
The lovely patron noticed I disliked the food and mentioned they would comp my meal, I’m not sure if that did happen, but it was a nice gesture. Lovely people, but im sorry to say I won’t return.

Delicious local Asian eatery. Everything was hot delicious and spicy. The ingredients for fresh the people were very nice and positive energy. The manager came over and talked with us truly interested in making sure every customer had a great time.
Portions were generous prices were Fair and the environment of the restaurant was great.
Highly recommended restaurant still working back to their full menu after the Helene flood.

Best mapo tofu dish I’ve ever had! The fried rice is also extremely flavorful. So many vegetarian and vegan options. This was fantastic and it’s going to be a new regular spot for me and when out of town guests visit. Must-eat!!!

I have the red curry two Friday’s ago and just wanted to make a review that it was inedible. I’ve had it several times before the restaurant switched hands, but it was nothing like it was before. It was so spicy and only three shrimp in the whole thing of cabbage and carrots… that I basically dumped it out and watched my partner eat his meal.
We ate over at archetype and tried to make a comment, but it was busy at the front desk.

An Asheville gem for authentic flavors.
Best restaurant mapo I’ve had; rich, aromatic, and perfectly spicy. I’d love to see their take on hot & sour soup. Make it part of your trip to West Asheville!
Extra mile: the evening was winding down on our visit, and the kitchen treated us to a couple fried apps.

Delicious! We sat at archetype and had gan shan brought to our table. A very cool business partnership! Portions were big and delicious! We got the pork belly special, rice bowl, and brussel sprouts. Sooooo yummy!

I got the shaking beef and it needed much more seasoning. The vegetables were about 3/4 of the dish.
General Tso’s flavor was one of the best I’ve had.
Overall would not order takeout from here but would like dine-in. The service and atmosphere were on point

Stumbled upon this cute spot and was pleasantly surprised! We started with the pork dumplings, they were good but could have used a little more chili oil. For our entrees we shared the general tsos chicken and the curry fried rice. Both were fantastic! Lots of flavor. Also, they are currently donating funds to the Texas flood victims with every purchase of Bushido sake. We will absolutely be back!
