I cannot say enough about Southern Cookhouse. We absolutely love having them in our neighborhood! Bryan and Troy were more than accommodating to help celebrate my 60th birthday recently. The appetizers were perfect and the service was outstanding! It could not have been more perfect. The Southern Cookhouse is always an easy place to get a great bite to eat and see friendly faces!

I tried the Charlotte mixed green salad and really enjoyed it. The greens were fresh and crisp, and I highly recommend getting it with the poppy seed dressing—it adds just the right touch of sweetness and tang. It was the perfect light option after a busy weekend!
Parking can sometimes be a bit tricky (spaces fill up fast), but I went around 8 pm and had no trouble finding a spot. The restaurant wasn’t too crowded at that hour, which made for a relaxed and comfortable dining experience.
All in all, Southern Cookhouse and Bar is a great place to unwind and enjoy a tasty meal. Don’t forget to try that Charlotte salad with poppy seed dressing—you won’t regret it!

We were really excited to try this spot and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent from the moment we entered. The gentleman at the counter answered our questions and his recommendations were on point.
The food was delicious. I had The Carlisle, which is beef tips with a bourbon glaze served over cheesy grits. The bar had a great selection of bourbon and great cocktails. The decor inside was inviting and the place has a great patio.
There are a lot of great places in Lexington. This is right up there with the best of them.

My favorite restaurant in town! Great vibes, very friendly staff and everyone seems to have a smile on their face. I ordered my favorite dish tonight, the shrimp po boy. I was joking with the staff about trying the new red fish and the shrimp together…. To my surprise, they presented me with the best Po boy of my life!!!! The remoulade is simply amazing! Also, the soft pretzels and beer cheese are a must. Nobody should visit here without ordering them. I highly recommend this place to locals and visitors of this wonderful city. You won’t be disappointed! Just get in your car and go now!

Was visiting the area and decided to try out this new spot! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was awesome. My 6 year old had a ball and loved his food too! Live music on the patio with dessert after dinner was just perfect. I will definitely add this to my list to visit again when I’m back in the area!

Such a cutie place! Customer service was impeccable! AMAZING food and drinks. The only thing that was important to note was their carne asada sandwich doesn’t note that there’s avocado on the sandwich (and I hate avocados). Other than that 10/10, will be back again!

Superb food, really surprisingly excellent food….We had fried pickles for an appetizer and they were great. My wife had the chicken and sausage gumbo for dinner and it was excellent. I had the entree of bourbon glazed filet tips over cheese grits with green beans cooked with crispy bacon pieces, and it was genuinely phenomenal. Perfectly cooked, fork tender filet tips, and perfectly seasoned. It is a casual, easy-going place, everyone was super friendly and welcoming, and it was bargain for the quality of food. Will be going back regularly.
