Reviews
From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, and highly professional, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We ordered the shrimp wontons, short ribs, and gem salad — and every single dish was mind-blowing. The portions were perfectly balanced, leaving us satisfied without feeling overly full.
The restaurant itself offers a cozy, warm, and intimate environment that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. This is truly a must-visit spot when you’re in Sonoma.
I ordered three dishes and every one of them hit hard.
The Asiago Stuffed Gnocchi came out as soft, rich little dumplings with molten cheese inside and a brown butter situation that makes you forget your manners. It’s comforting but still polished.
The Sichuan Wontons and Prawns were the shocker of the night. A legit pool of aromatic chili oil with real flavor and a gentle burn, brightened by spring onions and cilantro. The prawns were cooked perfectly and gave the dish more heft than usual wontons.
The Marrakesh Kafta was hearty and soulful, with beef and pork meatballs roasted in a Moroccan-spiced tomato sauce with yogurt and cilantro. A dish you think you’ll just taste once or twice before you realize you’re scraping the pan clean.
Add friendly service, a great bar setup, and a perfect Sonoma Square location, and it’s an easy place to recommend. They’re still figuring out their final identity, but if this is their early stage, they’re on a very promising trajectory.
A fun, flavorful, genuinely impressive spot. Cautious 5 stars, only because I think they’re about to get even better.
We chose Mosaik at the recommendation of friends and owe them a thank you note.
The interior design is simply beautiful and the staff warm yet professional. The restaurant is both casual and elegant. The menu offers global choices and it took us some time to decide as each entree sounded delicious. David, our attentive server, offered wine and dinner recommendations, and made us feel right at home.
I chose the Asian Glazed Short Ribs (they were amazing!) with a side of mashed potatoes and my spouse had the Crown Salad with Prawns. We shared the Sweet & Spiced Carrots. All three dishes were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.
With the attention we received, you would swear we were the only diners in the establishment!
Be sure to make a reservation as it is a small, intimate restaurant. If you are in Sonoma and have one choice for dinner, you will be delighted that you chose Mosaik!
We ordered the sea bass and the Szechuan shrimp with wontons, and both dishes were outstanding. Everything was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. The whole evening felt relaxed, warm, and genuinely enjoyable.
We highly recommend MOZAIK to anyone looking for a delicious meal in Sonoma Valley. We’ll definitely be back!
Hands down, the best new restaurant in Sonoma! The gnocchi dish and sea bass were absolutely phenomenal—maybe the best in their class. We were personally greeted and seated by one of the delightful owners, who took the time to walk us through the menu with genuine passion and care.
The corkage was $25, the food was nothing short of spectacular, and the service was top-tier—some of the best we’ve ever experienced on a busy Saturday night.
