Fantastic experience from start to finish. The restaurant is extremely clean and well maintained, with friendly, attentive service throughout the meal.
Fresh Chips & Salsa:
Served immediately—crispy, warm chips and flavorful salsa that set the tone perfectly.
️ Lunch Portions:
Just right—generous without being overwhelming. Great value for midday dining.
Chicken Fajitas:
Sizzling, tender, and well-seasoned. A standout dish.
Rice & Beans:
Both were tasty, but the beans were especially impressive—rich flavor and excellent texture.
✅ Highly Recommended:
If you’re in Ellijay and craving Mexican cuisine, Pablo Cantina is a clean, welcoming spot with great food and service.

Decided to try their Chicken Soup (likely a variation of traditional caldo de pollo). It stands out as one of the menu’s hidden gems
. reviewers warn is deceptively generous – and they weren’t kidding! The bowl arrived piping hot, brimming with tender shredded chicken, chunks of fresh vegetables in a flavorful broth.
Overall, I’d rate Pueblo Cantina’s Chicken Soup a solid 5/5 stars, especially on cooler daus@

The chicken fajitas were good. My husband and I ordered the same thing and his order had a lot more chicken. The chips n salsa were good. The margarita was good. My husband said his tasted funny.

Good value for money. The portion size is good. It tasted good, but I would have preferred bit more flavor. The service was fast.

Up until I visited Pueblo Cantina, I had never in my life been directly seranaded by a three-piece Mariachi band at my table. I’m not sure if it was a special occasion or if those guys are there all the time, but that was awesome. It did take a while to be seated, but it was very busy – so it’s understandable. Our dishes were great and the chips and salsa were decent as well (in the pic I attached it looks like they make a face lol). I’d definitely visit again.

Very regular patron since they opened for both lunch and dinner. My current favorite is the appetizer shrimp with melted cheese and onions. All shrimp dishes are good. So so good. With a Texas margarita. The chicken soup is great. Really can’t go wrong.
Service is friendly and food comes out fast. All the staff was really hustling last time we were there during busy Friday dinner time.
Rarely go to any other Mexican restaurants although I still love La Catrina downtown.

Best Mexican restaurant in North Georgia, we drive up from Cumming area at least twice every month. My go to’s are Steak Guadalajara (spicy!) or Taco Pueblos. House margaritas are the best. Well worth the ride. Loud, boisterous, family friendly atmosphere.

This was our second Mexican restaurant to try while on vacation near by, we gave it a try since it had 4.6 rating and honestly it wasn’t wow. Our 1st one was better. The birria tacos had no flavor my husband left 2 of the 3, the chipotle burrito was ok and the trio rice, the chocolate cake and fried ice cream were good. The waitress seemed to be in a hurry and kept getting our orders wrong, we had to keep asking her to clear our table for the new plates. The Place is huge and was packed but for my tasting wouldn’t recommend it.

Pueblo Cantina is one of the best Mexican restaurants in North Georgia. The food is consistently great. The service is usually awesome.
For those who like red sauce, theirs is worth a try. The chicken and rice soup, enchiladas, tacos, guacamole, fajitas, and poblano peppers have all been good.
If there’s any criticism at all it’s the acoustics. The place is super busy which is a great sign, but the sound carries too well. Friday and Saturday nights can be loud enough not to hear the person you’re eating with. Especially when the live Mariachi band is playing. The musicians are really good too 🙂

Basic ‘American’ Mexican food, but the Margarita was quite good. The service was great – it wasn’t our server’s fault that they put onions in the tacos and they ran out of rice so we had to wait an additional 7 minutes. The food is basic though. I wished I tried the other Mexican place in town.
