Flavors, delicately crafted sauces, precise cooking, and contrasts that surprise the palate. All of this demonstrates a passion for gastronomy and respect for the diner.
This place is perfect spot to meet with a large group of friends, families, or even just dinner for two. It’s a space to share conversations, celebrate important occasions, or simply enjoy a moment. The staff is friendly and attentive from the moment you walk through the door.
The quality of the ingredients, the flavor of the dishes, and the service combined harmoniously , the experience was memorable.
It was 7 of us and mostly vegetarian. The server was fairly new and had no idea about indian food as she was Cuban. So had to keep calling this other guy to ask questions and give any specific instructions.
For the most part everything was good except
1. I asked for Old Fashioned with Jefferson Ocean Bourbon and when i tasted it didn’t taste like that and when we got the bill it said Jameson. The server was very fast in telling yes we have Jefferson Ocean Bourbon.
2. They should have seasoned indian waiters for at least for those who know about indian Cuisine. Our server had not idea about indian food
Like i said overall things were good. My best was Paneer Tikka ( i had to give instructions how it should be may b 10 times) and yes it came out very good.
This place
Highly recommend this place but good luck with the server you get.
The food was a bit of a hit or miss. The chili chicken had a familiar taste and it was seasoned to perfection. We joyfully devoured it. The chicken curry lacked complex flavor and chicken tikka masala was a little too sweet.
Nonetheless, Bombay Darbar was a great find and we enjoyed our experience dining here.
This place is known for their exquisite chefs, and everlasting furniture and ambience. The can clearly give the best service possible within the island of Miami. I would highly recommend dining at this establishment. Since they have special and exquisite dining options, and fantastic staff.
However, the spices here are a bit lower compared to other restaurants, and the size of the garlic naan was not very large, the food was exceptional, overall I highly recommend staying here.
Look, I love Indian food, and the food was good quality, nice range of dishes, and good flavor. The Keer brulee was also epic, I have never had rice puddt with a caramelized sugar top, and it works, it works really well. The rice pudding was not too sweet so the hard caramel toping was a perfect addition.
But… at $250 (for 4 with just 1 beer) this was the most expensive meal I have had that wasn’t in a Gourmet restaurant, and whilst the food was good it wasn’t worth that much on taste and quality alone. What you are paying for here is good Indian food in a trendy location.
I can’t really fault the food, with the exeaption of the naan which is from a packet.
Kofta was really good.
We got a few different vegetarian appetizers and curries. While they all tasted great, my favorite was the Chili Gobi! The food was delicious and the service was wonderful like always!! Kind people and a great time!
(I do wish the chai was not machine-made, though! Traditionally-made chai on a stove has a different taste and different feel.)
The food is absolutely delicious. Every dish is rich in flavor, beautifully seasoned, and made with fresh ingredients. The butter chicken and tikka masala are simply outstanding — creamy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The garlic naan is soft and addictive, and every curry feels like a piece of authentic Indian cuisine brought to Miami.
However, one thing worth mentioning is the spice level. Even when ordering a dish as medium, it can still be very hot — definitely more intense than what most people might expect. Both my companion and I were surprised because the food, while delicious, was extremely spicy to the point that it was hard to enjoy it fully. It would be great if the restaurant could clarify the spice levels more precisely, especially for first-time guests or those not used to strong Indian spices. That small detail would make the experience even more enjoyable, as the flavors themselves are exceptional.
Aside from that, everything else was perfect — the service, the presentation, and the ambiance all deserve recognition. Bombay Darbar truly captures the essence of India in every dish, and you can tell why so many people love it. I would definitely come back, just with a better idea of how spicy to order next time!
I ordered dal kaftan (very spicy) and malai kofta. Service was good.
