Unfortunately, we didn’t have a present dining experience here as we went with the Seafood platter for two but most of the seafood was overcooked.
When questioned by staff, waitress seemed to be apologetic but when we paid bill, the person was a little rude.

Stunning food, we had a delicious night at Sandpiper’s tonight! Strongly recommending the oysters, scallops, seafood chowder, chilli crab linguini and calamari. Thoroughly enjoyed, the ambience was relaxed and enjoyable, the staff were fantastic and efficient. Thank you, we’ll be back in Nelson Bay soon!

Had an amazing dinner at Sandpipers Restaurant recently! I ordered the steak, which was cooked perfectly—tender and full of flavor. The plating was really nice, and everything looked just as good as it tasted. My friends tried the tasting plate and the carbonara pasta, and they loved it too.

My friends and I had a wonderful Christmas gathering at the Sandpiper Restaurant.
Dinner started with herb-roasted scallops with macadamia nuts – the flavors of all the ingredients blended perfectly. Another appetizer was duck spring rolls, which were equally delicious.
The main course was steak and pork belly; the steak was tender and juicy, and the pork belly melted in your mouth – absolutely delicious. Dessert was a platter for two, and we tried a little of everything – simply perfect.
The food was so delicious! The service was impeccable! I highly recommend this restaurant.

For a lunch to be good value for great food is getting rarer these days. I am pleased to say that Sandpipers Restaurant in Nelson Bay did just that.
The food was great. The service exceptional and accomodating. The seafood platter for 2 was a good size and tasty. The chicken Schnitty was succelent and a decently sized portion. But the simplest meal of the lot ( the kids pasta with cream base was I believe the stand out. We all went for a fork of the pasta and we all said exactly the same thing : delicious

The food was amazing. The staff were helpful even though they were a bit busy, they tried their best to assist us.
It can take time for the food to arrive when the restaurant is running busy, but I’d say it’s worth the wait.
I liked the atmosphere it felt cozy with the candles and the waiters were very friendly. Honestly I have no complaints. Everything felt reasonable.
