I have been a Rome’s customer for years. I have always tried to support small businesses especially this one that used to be owned by Gus & Brenda but sadly things have changed. We came tonight to enjoy pizza and we left feeling cheated and annoyed. We waited half an hour for a salad and well over an hour for a medium pizza. You all served everyone around us even though we were there before them. You offered no explanation and wait staff wouldn’t even look at us. Seriously, you keep this up and your business will fail. Goodbye Romes. Oh! I forgot to add that we left out the door with our pizza, do you think it looks like it was worth waiting for? NOT

Had lunch here for the 1st time today. Hard to find food near UTSA that isn’t fast food or a overpriced food truck. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and patient with us as it was our 1st time here. The mozzarella sticks were delicious, me and my husband had a pizza to share but they do have personal size pizzas. He got Tiramisu and I had cheesecake with raspberry sauce. Definitely will be coming again.

I’ve visited a few times in the last two months. The staff is friendly, and the pizzas always come hot and fresh. They made the dough just the way we asked—sometimes thick, sometimes thin. Highly recommended!

Rome Pizza, congratulations — I think you’ve mastered the art of false advertising. The online menu looks great… too bad it has absolutely nothing to do with what they actually serve. Ordering from their website is like stepping into a parallel universe where the food might be good and the service might exist — but unfortunately, that universe is not this one.
What I got in reality?
Cold, bland, thrown-together food that tasted like it was an afterthought. If the quality matched the enthusiasm of the staff, maybe it would make sense — because the service was just as disappointing. Zero urgency, zero care, and zero sense that customers matter.
If you’re looking for good pizza, good service, or even a restaurant that matches its own online menu… keep looking. Rome Pizza is an easy “never again.”

Picked pizza slices and they were a little cold. Asked the person behind the counter to reheat them. After that, pizza was good. The place has lots of tables and chairs to accommodate large parties. Saw other items in the menu that I will try next time I come here.

So we walked in at 910pm. Yes I know we are late arrivals and it’s almost closing time. I truly get it. But the attitude behind it was horrible. Our first time there and this guy says, do you know what you want ? No I don’t we have never been here and yes we are dinning in. Rude!!
But they got saved with the food. I wasn’t expecting to like the food after the service we got when we first walked in.
The cheese pizza was great my son loved it. The fries were hot and crispy and good. The calzone was simple but crust was great. The chicken Alfredo was pretty delicious. And the meatballs were small but very flavorful with the sauce. Garlic bread was crispy and soft on the inside.
All in all food hit the spot. If you don’t want people going in close to closing time then turn off the sign and lock the door .
All that attitude is unnecessary while you are in the customer service industry.
I don’t mind giving tips especially if they are well deserved. If I would have know the food was that good I would have gave the prep team a better tip.
Might go back during regular business hours in hopes the service is as good as the food.

Came to try Rome’s Pizza for the first time ever after living in SA for almost 5 years. Hands down one of the best pizza spots I have ever try, the staff was super friendly the Owner himself made our order and he also made sure that everything came out just right. The pizza was excellent, crust was perfect nice and crunchy, the sauce was delicious. For those looking to get a delicious pizza and have a staff that have great customer service this is your spot to come to. I recommend this place all day.
