Me and my husband went as 1st timers on our anniversary. Everything was great, Amaya knew the menu well, helped me with my selection because she had tried what was offered. Katie was assisting but she was also very pleasant, she was new but clearly took pride in her role. The live music was pretty good, i know everything that played/ was performed. To top it all off the ladies brought us a slice of cheese cake and an anniversary card.
Definately will be sharing my experience with all.

Let me start off first by saying the atmosphere was great, the ambient lighting was perfect and gives a great old school steakhouse theme. Now, my service was lackadaisical. With lots of disregard to myself and my wife. It took 45 min to get apps, 1hr to get a drink. Canceled our order after 2hrs of waiting. The place had maybe 25 people in it. Did not get a chance to try “Clarksville’s best steakhouse”. Absolutely ridiculous. After we said, “cancel our order” magically the food was ready, right then and there. The waiter proceeded to laugh at our bill, and disregarded us the entire night. Apps came out cold. Personally will not be coming back, a HUGE let down and would not recommend to couples trying to enjoy a night out together. Additionally, tables of 6 or more were the priority and everyone that came in after us were served prior too. A true awful experience, heading to the butcher to cook steaks at home for half the price.

Such an awesome experience! We were greeted promptly, and escorted to our table. After we were seated, we recieved a brief introduction about the restaurant. The dining area was beautiful and had a great vibe, featuring a piano playing in the background and later live music.

Amaya took very good care of us. She was friendly, attentive and professional. Everything that we ordered turned out so delicious even the drinks. What made this experience even more special was when they brought out a slice of cheesecake with a single candle and a birthday card for me. It was such a sweet suprise and the card was so thoughtful!

My husband and I had such a great time and can’t wait to come back again.

Edwards Steakhouse offers an intimate dining experience that feels both upscale and warmly familiar. The cozy ambiance—dim lighting, rich wood accents, and attentive service—sets the perfect tone for a relaxed evening out or a special celebration.

The culinary standout begins with the fried green beans, a Southern twist on a classic starter. Crisp, golden, and seasoned just right, they arrive piping hot with a dipping sauce that adds a tangy kick. It’s the kind of appetizer that disappears quickly, so don’t be shy about ordering a second round.

For the main course, the New York strip steak is a triumph. Expertly grilled to your preferred temperature, it boasts a flavorful crust and juicy interior that speaks to the kitchen’s precision. Pair it with the garlic mashed potatoes, which are creamy, buttery, and infused with just enough garlic to be memorable without overpowering. Together, they form a plate that’s both comforting and indulgent.

Here’s a more blog-style rewrite of your post, keeping it conversational and flowing like something you’d read in a food blog:

If you’re looking for a spot that balances upscale dining with a welcoming, familiar vibe, Edwards Steakhouse is one of those places that gets it just right. The moment you walk in, the cozy atmosphere sets the tone—dim lighting, polished wood accents, and a staff that makes you feel like you’re in good hands. It’s the kind of place that works just as well for a date night as it does for a special celebration with friends or family.

Let’s talk food, because that’s where Edwards really shines. I kicked things off with the fried green beans, and honestly, they’re a must. Crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned, these little bites come with a dipping sauce that adds just the right amount of tang. They’re one of those appetizers you end up eating faster than you mean to, so don’t be surprised if a second round makes its way to your table.

Then came the star of the show: the New York strip. Cooked exactly how I ordered, it arrived with that perfect seared crust on the outside and juicy, tender goodness on the inside. Every bite reminded me why a well-prepared steak is tough to beat. On the side, the garlic mashed potatoes held their own—rich, buttery, and smooth with just enough garlic to keep things interesting without overwhelming the plate. Together, it was the kind of meal that hits all the right notes: classic, comforting, and just indulgent enough to feel like a treat.

My husband and I have eaten at Edward’s several times. The service had always been impeccable as well as the food! We’ve always had reservations which we have always been able to walk right in and be seated. We’ve had several appetizers-fried green beans, fried tomatoes, cheese sticks, and potato skins. Salads have always been fresh. We usually order the Sarah’s filet it’s our favorite. All of the potatoes are amazing-my favorite is the twice baked. The macaroni and cheese is very tasty too! Do yourself a favor and check them out!

Came for a much needed girls night to celebrate a birthday and a recent promotion. We were treated to the most pleasant evening. Not only was the prime rib special outstanding and well worth it!!! But Shannon was phenomenal, amazing, incredible and just overall a joy. He was the icing on top of our night. Thank you thank you thank you.

Service was disappointing and we had to constantly swat gnats away from our table. Sampler platter not that good. Chicken and mushrooms were over breaded and undercooked causing them to have a mushy batter coating instead of being crispy. Cheese sticks and potato skins were good. Steak medallions were good (but cold) and not worth the $9 they cost. The pork chop was amazing and had a delicious glaze on it. The brisket was honestly not good at all although you get a large portion. It was overcooked making it dry and tasted like a dried beef jerky/baloney. The highlights of the meal were the creme brûlée cheesecake and the chef’s creme brûlée! I would return here again to order those to-go.

Neat place and our server was sweet.
Ummm…..the food not so much. Ribeye was maybe a quarter inch thick, over seasoned, and cut in several places as one would do to check how well it’s cooked. They ended up being over done even with cheating!
Stingy on the wine and sauce was frozen for the shrimp cocktail.
Waffle House food for Ruth’s Chris prices.
I do not recommend Edward’s.

Ed, Ed & Eddy? Nope! It’s Edward’s Steakhouse! So, I have been waiting to try this restaurant, especially when the locals say this is the place to enjoy fine dining & a steak that will melt in your mouth!
So this was the night & I took my chances. No reservations. I mean dinning for 1, does that really require a reservation anywhere?

Tonight I decided to enjoy a glass of German riesling wine, house salad (Yes with ranch. I’m from the South ranch goes with everything. Don’t judge ) Sarah’s filet mignon & loaded baked potato. Finishing the meal with the crème brûlée!

The locals are definitely correct! THE STEAK WAS AMAZING!!! However, the crème brûlée was by far one of the best desserts I’ve tried.

I do want to add that this is the perfect romantic spot for a date night with class! The piano player made the entire experience absolutely beautiful!

Definitely one of the places I will be returning to.

I visited Edwards today with my mother, who is in town, and the experience was very disappointing. We requested a table instead of a booth and were seated in the very back. Once we realized the seating arrangement we then requested a booth seeing that several booths were empty. We were told those were reserved, which we accepted.

Our server was extremely slow with drinks and taking our order, and when the food finally arrived—over an hour later—it was lukewarm to cold. The oysters were especially poor. During this time, multiple tables who arrived after us were served, finished eating, and left before we even received our food.

When I mentioned the delay to the owner, the explanation didn’t address why our food came out so late. She then asked how the food was immediately after it was placed on the table, before we even had a chance to try it.

I’ve visited Edwards many times over the years, and this was the worst service and food I’ve experienced. Because of this, I don’t plan on returning.
