A Must-Visit Breakfast Spot in Newport! Belle’s Café Never Disappoints!
We come to Newport every year for the Seafood Festival at Bowen’s Wharf and love trying new places to eat, but breakfast at Belle’s Café is a tradition we never skip.
From the moment you arrive, the setting is something special: tucked right into the shipyard, surrounded by jaw-dropping luxury yachts being worked on. The scale of these vessels is truly something to behold — it’s like breakfast with a view and an experience.
The food? Absolutely fantastic. The crab cake eggs Benedict is a personal favorite, rich, flavorful, and consistently perfect every time. The avocado toast is also incredible. Belle’s knows how to start your day right.
And the customer service is next-level. This visit, I casually asked our waitress if she knew where I could find an aspirin nearby, and she offered me one of her own. That kind of genuine kindness and hospitality is rare and deeply appreciated.
If you’re in Newport and not eating at Belle’s, you’re truly missing out on one of the best breakfast experiences in town. We can’t wait to return!

Belle’s is an absolute gem! The chowder is rich, flavorful, and simply delicious. The bread is perfectly baked — light, fluffy, and full of flavor. Their eggs Benedict is spot-on with a silky, well-balanced sauce. And the lobster? Fresh, tender, and bursting with sweetness. Every bite here feels like comfort and quality combined!

My wife and I went to Belle’s for brunch. We arrived around 11:15, and we waited about 45 minutes to be seated. It was worth the wait. The restaurant was busy but not loud and the service was very fast. Our server, Mara, was excellent. The caramel iced latte and cider mimosa were delicious. The clam chowder was creamy and well seasoned. The crab cake Benedict and Oscar omelet special were phenomenal. We would definitely return here.

Came here for brunch and had a great time! There was a little downside—a shipment of fish on the marina left a bit of a smell in the air (totally out of their control), and since we were walk-ins, we had to wait a little while to be seated.
Once we were in, though, everything was fantastic. Our waitress was super pleasant and made us feel welcome right away. And seriously—get the omelet. They will not disappoint!

The most overstuffed and delectable lobster roll I’ve ever had! Very reasonably priced too for the quantity of lobster meat I got! My husband loved his crab cake benedict as well. Lovely atmosphere being on the dock by the yachts and the water, and while we had a short wait to be seated, we were easily able to grab hot and iced coffee from their takeout area and walk around the dock!

What a spot! Walking in, the views were lovely and the seating areas were so chic. The staff were super friendly even while they were busy. Then, to top it all off, our brunch was so yummy. Baby was happy with his pancakes, and we were with the crab cake benedict and yardbird panini. But my favorite part of the meal? The french toast muffin- even had to grab one to go!

Who doesn’t enjoy a good breakfast right next to magnificent boats, you cannot find this experience anywhere else in Newport, peaceful and serene, slightly windy. The food was good too, the servers were friendly and kind, we had scrambled eggs, bacon, good old breakfast menu. I have to say the lady who was manning the lift gate to the dock was also really nice and friendly and greeted us both on our way in and out..very nice experience

Belle’s in Newport offers a casual, dockside dining experience that pairs great views with solid food. My wife and I enjoyed the Clam Chowder, which was flavorful and satisfying. My wife particularly loved the Lox and bagel, noting that the generous portion of lox made it a great value. My BLT sandwich, while fresh, had a bit too much lettuce and overly crispy bacon. However, the overall experience was enhanced by the active shipyard setting and stunning yacht views. For the price, it’s a fantastic spot for a laid-back meal by the water, especially if you love maritime scenes. The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere can’t be beaten.
