WOW! waking in i want sure what was going on with the lines but the security guard explained it all to me and it made it easier to order. The food is prepared right in front of you. You pay after you get your order and you just devour some tasty tacos. Warning the price is high but the taste is worth the price. I love they have self service drinks as well. I’m always happy to see free refills. A must try, if your out here on vacation looking for some delicious tacos.

We went on May 5th to enjoy a little taste of Mexico in Las Vegas, and even though it was our first time visiting this location, we were pleasantly surprised to find the same flavor, the same service, and the same quality we already knew and loved.
The tacos were absolutely delicious, and every bite made us feel right at home. The experience was authentic from start to finish.
Taking a trip to Las Vegas and not eating at Tacos El Gordo is like not going at all. It’s definitely a must stop every time we’re in town!

Unreal tacos, friendly staff and service, ok atmosphere. Favorites were the lengua, tripe, and pork maw but they were all amazing. The speed in which they prepare was pretty amazing, and the condiments and salsas were very authentic. Best tacos I’ve ever had even when compared to Mexico!

As always tacos el chubby delivers.
About the only thing I wish they had would be carnitas!!!!!!
But still always delivers.

Every time I come to Las Vegas, I come to Tacos El Gordo. I wish we had one in Arizona! This Tijuana style taco place delivers amazing adobada and carne asada. I gotta admit that the carne asada tastes much better in their Chula Vista location closer you get to the border. I love all the fixings that go into the adobada tacos. Always get everything on it. This is one of those places where it’s filled with Mexican customers including construction workers. That’s the indicator for authenticity and quality for taco places.

Being from Texas and having worked in Mexico, I’m a street taco snob. I was happy to see upon arrival that they were cooking on Trompo’s ( virticle rotisserie). I ordered two pork and two steak (asada) tacos. The pork were good with a little too much fat for my tastes. The steak unfortunately was pretty tough and a little dry. Maybe i caught them on a bad day but I’d rate these street tacos average. If in the area, I’d go back but wouldn’t drive out of my way to eat here.

I love these tacos!!! They are above average price but it is worth it. When you come to this place, don’t come alone, you need to stay in line for different kind of tacos, then you will need to be line again to pay. It goes quickly but it is faster it come with friends. I wish they have some kind of vegan food, that would be perfect to reach other clients. Maybe one day!!

We have seen this place before but this time we decided to give it a try. Lines were crazy and you need to be either a local or a returned customer to know how lines work. Each line is for a specific type of taco. Which I think is ridiculous have to make multiple lines if you want different tacos. Lines were all the way to the door.
But over all is a very good place.
Tacos al pastor were delicious specially with the sauce they put on top. Defenetly worth the line. Dont miss las cebollitas and jalapeños!!!!

$4+ tacos are pricey. For some reason tacos, pho and Chinese food are all more expensive (and usually suck) compare to LA. LA tacos are $1.75-$2.50. It been pretty difficult to get consistently good tacos near us (unless travel to Broad acres). So at $4 a taco with food amount of protein (with cilantro, onions and sauce), is not bad for us.
Same ordering process as the strip El Gordo. Stand in the meat line of your choice, then pay at the counter.
– $4.44 Lengua, $4.12 buche, $4.12 cabeza, $4.12 tripa we’re all pretty good. Red and green sauces per taco is pretty good. Some meats are salted, some are not as seasoned. Cabeza was amazing today!
– $4.12 Adobada Pork is my SO’s favorite.
Not to self that 2 tacos is enough for me. If I am really really really hungry, then 3? For the SO, 3 is perfect amount.
Tortilla didn’t seem fresh homemade but it wasn’t bad. Is it as good as then strip? Kinda? Depends who and when their fresh handmade tortillas are being used? Overall those local spot is less hassle.
Looking forward to visiting again!

Tacos are addicting.
This place is less busy than the strip location and has a drive thru but there is a language barrier at times.
Lots of parking and a good sized dining area.
Adobada is my go to.
Remember to ask for the grilled onions and peppers as well as radish. Makes everything mesh well.
I’ll be back soon when in Vegas.
