We were hesitant at first to stop at this little hole-in-the wall, but SO glad we did! The weather was beautiful, so we sat on the deck. The food was outstanding, and service was truly over the top! One of the best burgers I’ve eaten, and the crispy tots were perfectly delicious. My wife’s wrap with maple mayo was also excellent. Not one negative. The staff were so friendly and helpful! Hopefully we can return next year.

Oh man I don’t know where to start, the food is just amazing, the service is great with plenty of recommendations, and it’s just a cozy little place you can’t miss, I’m over an hour away and I’ll be back as much as I can

Talk about out of the way! While quite in the middle literally nowhere, sorry Errol but you are a welcome stop, this place is great for lunch or dinner. A great menu good beer selection, in cans and bottles no draft. We sat out on deck with the dogs. they brought water for the dogs!
Loved this place

It is truly unfortunate that we had a less than positive experience at Big Al’s. We were a party of three during a busy lunch time during a school vacation week. We were seated right away at the last open table. A delightful young man was very attentive and took our sink and appetizer order. The drinks came quickly and was soon followed by our egg rolls. They were served hot and very tasty. But that is when things went downhill. We were out riding, seen some beautiful sights on the trails, which were groomed to perfection, so we had plenty to chat about. Our drinks were refilled and we continued to talk. After being at the table for an hour, seeing others who came in after us already being served and finishing, the young man came back and said our order had been lost in the POS system and asked if wanted to reorder. We were hungry from riding all morning so we quickly reordered. A half hour later we asked about our order. The server said he did not know when it would be out. He had already comped our drinks and appetizer for having to wait. Others were being served. At this point we wanted to get back on the trails after being at the table for now 2 hours. We got up and left. We were told by another staff member that they could but up order to go when it was ready. It still wasn’t ready, so we said no thank you and left without lunch. I live in the area so will try again…

A must stop spot as you work your way through the mountains.
The service and food were fantastic.
They have a full-service bar with plenty of TVs.
This is a family-run establishment with a great back story. They deserve the success that will come their way.
Worth checking out if you’re near “Moose Alley”.

We stopped here while out on the ATVs and really liked our lunch. We both got the steak and cheese with fries and would go back and get the same thing next time. Place is tiny, but they have outdoor seating as well if it’s nice out. Waitress was nice as well. What more can you ask for.

Steak bomb absolutely ruined by vile American cheese. Used to stop here once a week for the steak bomb. Never again since they implemented this horrendous policy of plastic cheese.

Big Al’s is a nice place. I like it. It’s rather small but clean with a good atmosphere. Like a boutique restaurant without the guy in a tuxedo. No violins or mariachi band either. It’s rustic and unique. Pleasant owners. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The main dining area has bench type seating. I’d prefer individual tables, but it’s comfortable. There is comfortable table seating and seating at the bar in the bar area.
They have a good selection of bottled beer. No draft beer. Bummer, eh! They really need to get draft beer. The menu has a small selection to choose from and it is a little expensive but the quality is really good and worth the price. Good burgers featuring, of course, the Errol Burger. Good stuff. They feature chicken, steak and sea food for dinner. Bring the family!
Their specialty, at least from my perspective, is their pizza. Way good. I mean way, way good! You can build your own or choose one of their specialty pizzas. Oh yeah!
I’d be remiss if I did not mention Big Al’s wait staff. They are friendly, efficient and cute. Give your waitress a good tip!
Big Al’s is a good 4-star rating. The 5th star will come when they get draft beer.

We stopped by while traveling through the area and were thoroughly impressed. The variety of hamburgers was fantastic, and the service was fast and friendly. A perfect spot for a quick and satisfying bite on the road.

We enjoyed our dinner at this little place. The bartender was also waiting tables and handling it all very well. I think all of us enjoyed our food. It had a Small Town tavern Vibe which we like.
