Excellent Indian food — everything we tried was genuinely impressive.

The Lamb Mughlai was the standout: super tender pieces of lamb in a rich, mildly spiced sauce that felt comforting without being heavy. Easily one of the best lamb dishes I’ve had locally.

The Chicken Tikka Masala was another hit — creamy, balanced, and perfect with their naan. Don’t skip the butter naan or garlic naan; both were warm, soft, and perfectly blistered.

We also started with the onion samosas, which were crispy, flavorful, and not greasy. To finish, we had the kulfi — absolutely delicious. My daughter ate it before I could even take a photo, which says everything.

Friendly service, clean and welcoming space, and everything tasted freshly made. We’ll definitely be back.

The food was perfectly prepared. Even dishes I don’t typically enjoy were delicious. If you’re considering going here for the first time, stop reading this review and go. The parking, service, and atmosphere were all great, but I cannot possibly overstate how amazing every dish was that my table ordered. Even my picky 12 year old found something she absolutely loved (the chicken wok-tossed noodles). The chicken tikka samosa appetizer was amazing. My wife was blown away by the Dal Tadka. The lamb tikka masala was the best I’ve had in St. Louis. We also had an order of fried rice to share at the table. It was also great. Portion sizes are very generous with reasonable pricing. There were plenty of leftovers to take home. We plan to return many times.

The food was excellent. Had butter chicken, chicken korma, Punjabi samosas and butter naan. If you are not a fan of vey spicy dishes, simply ask the server for very little or none at all. Some dishes will always have just a little bit of spicy hot to them.

I have had food from Chulah 3 times so far. Their Chicken Chettinadu is delish!. I remember getting the same dish from another restaurant here before which was more expensive and it was more like chicken tikka masala, lol! Tried their Goat Fry biryani which was yummy and Golkonda chicken dum biryani which was a bit too spicy for me but tasted good. The guy who waited us was nice enough to give me extra raita. Chulah’s food is great and prices are reasonable. Wildwood was severely lacking a good reliable
Indian restaurant and I genuinely wish them the best and hope that they become a huge success here.

It’s been a while since I’ve had really good food at an Indian restaurant in St. Louis. Most of them are just ok and I’ve been conditioned to be OK with the just OK Food.
This restaurant was very different. The appetizers that we ordered, cutlet and onion samosa, were so delicious that it came with a side of nostalgia.
We got the Mughlai paneer and veg chettinad as the main dish.
The paneer gravy was so flavorful, and the paneer itself was so soft unlike anything that we have eaten in St. Louis including some of the popular Indian restaurants.
The veg chettinad was very delicious and complex in taste and not at all like the one note peppery gravy that other restaurants serve in their chettinad dishes.
Overall, the food was such a huge hit

The only small feedback would be the not to top the dish off with oil/butter. The gravy here is tasty enough to hold its own without the extra grease.

5 stars. I’ve eaten here many times now and absolutely love it. Every dish I try is delicious and my family agrees. At many places, tomato-based curries like butter chicken, tikka masala, etc can have a boring, tomato soup like flavor, but not Chulah’s. The spice balance is very complex and is exactly what I hope for in those types of curries. The saag is amazing, rich and flavorful. Korma was especially surprising as many kormas can lack detail or even be bland, but this one was wonderful with lots of depth. Mughlai also very, very good. It seems Chulah can do no wrong. One thing I especially appreciate is that they salt their dishes adequately. Many places slightly under salt and the dishes can end up tasting like a spice/masala blend without anything that brings it all together. Chulah is a very welcome addition to our city!

This place is amazing! The menu is very diverse with so many options. We’ve had a lot of Indian food in bigger cities, and this is among the best. The staff were friendly & very attentive. The owner came out and talked to us and suggested menu items – all of which were delicious. We want to go back to try more different things. You must go eat here if you get the chance!

My wife and I visited today and had a wonderful experience at Chulah. The food was absolutely enjoyable, and the goat haleem stood out in particular — it was rich, flavorful, and simply delicious. We truly enjoyed our meal and would happily come back again.
