I visited here on a weekday and was surprised by how full and lively it was. This is a cool little bar with elaborate decorations and plenty of seating.
They had a huge menu and I believe they serve breakfast all day. Some of the items seemed a bit pricey, but there’s plenty of inexpensive items to order as well. I ordered the hot dog platter which was 8 dollars. My food came out hot and I had no issues, it was pretty standard bar food.
The servers were nice and polite. I ordered a gin and tonic and a vodka cran, each was about $6.50. I would usually consider that a bit expensive for a simple drink, but my drinks were really strong.
This would be a fun place to visit with friends after a night of sightseeing!

Really enjoyed our visit to this traditional American-style bar. The mozzarella sticks were absolutely amazing…highly recommend! The Philly cheesesteak sandwich was also a real treat. Service was great throughout. The only downside was the lack of a baby changing area. Would recommend

During our visit to Washington, our family had the pleasure of dining at this remarkable restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the atmosphere — the interior breathes history, with the establishment dating back to 1946. We spent quite some time admiring the vintage photographs and décor, which allowed us to truly feel the soul of the place.
An elderly gentleman who served us was incredibly kind and welcoming, patiently helping us choose from the menu. We ordered delicious pasta and mozzarella sticks — everything was full of flavor and very reasonably priced.
This restaurant is a true gem, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. A warm, authentic, and memorable experience.

I love it here! The tune inn is a family! You go there to have breakfast, listen to some good music on the juke box, and catch up with old friends. James, Steph, Jolene, Patrick, Sean, Matty, Cj, they all know how to welcome you in pass you a drink along with a good time! You go there a stranger you leave as family. Always a good time to be had at the number #1 neighborhood bar in DC

Unique, quirky, true hole in the wall with class. First of all, thank you to the amazing wait staff who handled a bust night amazingly.
This was a DDD stop and after eating the food I understand why. The mozzarella sticks are a MUST.
If you are nearby, this is worth a stop and you won’t regret it.

Stopped by with my fiancé for late dinner. Kitchen is open late, which is awesome. Menu is standard for a dive bar. I ordered the Reuben, and it was great. I subbed the onion rings for an extra dollar, they were ok. My fiancé got the deep fried burger, it was overdone, but otherwise fine. We split a pitcher of beer, which was about 64oz for $26, quite the deal in the DC area. The place gives me the feel of a well enjoyed dive bar.
Pros: Cheap beer pitchers, good Reuben, casual atmosphere.
Cons: the deep fried burger

The burger was excellent—definitely the highlight of the meal. Everything else was solid and okay overall. The biggest issue was the service. Only one staff member was handling both the tables and the bar for the entire restaurant, so things moved really slowly. Despite that, they were friendly and doing their best under the circumstances. With better staffing, this place could be fantastic.

we recently spent a a couple of days taking in the DC sights & after our 1st day of HOP on HOP off busing I found this restaurant to be (for us) walking distance from Union Station (stop 1) for the bus & headed there. Seeing a (YES) “TONY’s” beer battered burger I had a GOTTA TRY moment & NO it did not disappoint !! Mrs. H had the tuna melt & again it was great. Day 2 of our site seeing left 2 drowned rats AGAIN looking for warmth comfort & food & YES rather than venture to new places in our soggy state we headed back to try MORE of their amazing food.
When in Rome …. When in D.C> make sure to give it a try !!
