THE BEST SANDWICH I’VE HAD ANYWHERE , in my 15 years in Fort Lauderdale ,

The second I walked ín the door , the owner stepped to the front of the counter, and greeted me with a big smile and said , “Hi ! How may I help you sir “.

I almost dropped to the floor in shock.

In S Florida , home of the surly fast food workers , it was refreshing.

I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich.

Chicken grilled to perfection , FRESH French bread , lightly toasted , caramelized onion, lettuce , tomato ; …

Hey , I was really hungry , and the sandwich was scrumptious. I inhaled it , rather than dined or ate it so I might have missed a few ingredients .

OH ! CHEESE ! the chicken, all the ingredients , covered in a delicious cheese I probably never had , and I’m sure I don’t know the name of ; . . .

By far , like ‘ Far Out , Man ‘, far ; ..
THE BEST SANDWICH I’ve had anywhere , in my 15 years in Fort Lauderdale.

Fast , friendly service.
The food preparation area, dining room , bathrooms , immaculate.

Fantastic everything. Perfect for when you NEED Venezuelan food. Many places will have cachapas/empanadas etc but not everywhere you can find a place that also has cachitos, golfeados, pasteles and all of that good stuff. 10/10

A quick breakdown.

Customer service – Ordered lunch for $35. The harassed looking manager charged us a happy total of $50. When we politely pointed out the “mistake” there was a bit of Hollywood before he announced a grand total of 45. Lol. I decided to give him another chance before asking him to shove the empanadas we ordered up an orifice of his that shall go unnamed. He reluctantly announced a correct total of $35 looking even more harassed and not looking happy.

The place: Pretty airy, spacious, light and put together fairly well in a nice plaza.

The food: Empanadas – we tried both the chicken and carne. Both were delicious as was the meat pie. The shredded chicken platter and the grilled pork with onions platter were both very good and priced at about 10 bucks and change each was fairly well worth the money. Of course that was before the attempted rip off, lol.

This place should have been an easy 4 or 5 but the blatant half as**d rip off effort and the poor cover up acting job by the manager or owner was a sad stinker of an experience. I mean times are hard but do not try to cover up the difference by preying on unsuspecting customers!

I work in a corporate office near this restaurant. I go here for lunch pretty often. I ALWAYS order the same thing. The steak sandwich. Its the best steak sandwich I’ve ever had. I very often bring people and tell people to come. I always get amazing feedback. If you’re looking for one of the best steak sandwiches you’ve ever had. Don’t pass this place up.

The customer service was alright but the food made it all worth it. The food was flavorful and the portions are big. I will definitely be coming back.

We were in the area from out of state and we were looking for a place for an arepa. The Bread shop had such amazing food and customer service. They were a very generous restaurant and we are planning to come back for breakfast! So awesome!

The food is good. They are very disorganized, and the attention sometimes is rude.

The food was ok. It’s typical Venezuelan food. My issue was the price. I had a Venezuelan breakfast, empanada, and a cachito. Nothing special. Something that you get in every other Venezuelan spot for under 20 dollars. I was charged 28 dollars and that does not include a tip. That is way too much. Don’t know if they recently changed their prices. I just found it way too high. Almost a rip off. The worst is none of the menus have the actual price so I was completely caught off guard by the price.

It is a nice place to grab a coffee and some bakery in the morning. There are so many options for a quick bite and coffee. This is a super clean and nice place to start in the morning.

Do not go here. The service is rude and terrible. There are no prices or descriptions listed, and when I tried to ask what was in the food, they spoke Venezuelan terms that being a Hispanic I did not understand. They expect you to know everything that is listed, and when I was trying to order she said to wait, and a second later attended another person who just came in after us even though we were first. They are only nice and only attend to the friends and family that they know that come into the shop and the food was ok but not what we expected. We do not recommend ever coming here.
