Easy parking, seated immediate. Coffee brought immediately as well. Terrific service all around. Very clean restaurant, including the bathrooms. Well lighted. Nice decor. Food service was quick and delicious. Nice, relaxing view from our booth. Tables have enough distance so you do not have to be subjected to other patrons’ conversations. Gave the cashier small change and he did not roll his eyes. Was actually grateful for it. This is one of my favorite diners.

Oct 2025: off all the reviews I try to write for this place I always forget to take pictures.. only ones who go there often enough would know to get house fries deep fried with this weekend morning breakfast.. any omelette option is pretty good.. totally not greasy which sver combo off omelette we tried.. totally recommend this place. Absolutely kid friendly.
Mar 2024: for first time ever we went for dinner time. Food was simple and fresh. Totally recommend turkey speciality sandwich. No wonder everyone likes turkey here.
2023: Good place for weekend breakfast.. eggs, omelettes, pancakes, waffles, French toast.!! We have tried them all.. we love them totally. Deep fried house potatoes is gone now.! But hash is still our favorite with any eggs.. very friendly staff.!

pancakes were horrible. waitress was very rude. i asked for chocolate chip pancakes and i got chocolate chips only in the middle of the pancake. i proceeded to ask the waitress if i could get pancakes that actually have chocolate chips all around. she came back with the SAME pancakes i tried to return, just with chocolate chips DUMPED all on top of them. making the pancakes extremely sweet and unappetizing. when i asked what they could do for me for the check, the other lady said “i can’t take any of the food off, but grab yourself a brownie” for my $40.00 bill of horrible food. not to mention, my girlfriend’s order was banana pancakes, and they didn’t cook them inside. horrible moment, waste of time and money. will NOT be coming back.

Ordered by phone a cheeseburger deluxe and two BLT’s. Picked up my food there were no fries with the blts, and the cheeseburger didnt have coleslaw and pickles. And I paid 41 dollars. Definitely not returning there again!

Typical diner. Typical diner food choices. Went in the evening after dinner hours. Seated quickly. Not busy, but lots of customers at their tables. The waiter did seem staff were pretty friendly. The only complaint is it was a really cold night and the diner was really cold. Didn’t feel like there was any heat on. If in the area again, would return to try again.

Our waiterJonas was great. His recommendations on meals was spot on and we enjoyed the meatloaf, a large platter we shared and took some home and shrimp fettuccine, tasteful. You definitely can share the generous portions. When you visit say hi to Jonas, a very friendly and personable young man you’ll enjoy talking to.

I came here for a business breakfast with my co workers and it was a pleasant experience. We were quickly seated and served. We ordered various items and the serving was plentiful. The eggs were a little flavorless but solved with some salt and pepper. I would return again.

I could not believe it when I went to this diner to order a dinner. I ordered two baked potatoes because I could not eat the other available vegetable options. I was given one (1) butter patty the size of a dime. I asked if I could have a couple more. I was told no I would have to pay for them. The owner was called over, and hesitantly gave me a couple more. I could not believe that I had paid close to $30 for dinner, I could not receive more than one butter patty for two potatoes. I will not be returning here after this my first time here. There are too many other options In Westchester.

Thornwood Coach Diner has the best burger in town! The food is always delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I often come here with my 5-year-old son, and the staff is incredibly friendly. They even give him candy by the door when we leave, which always puts a smile on his face. The host may look a bit grumpy, but he’s actually a very nice guy. Highly recommend this diner for a great meal and a enjoyable experience!
