The chicken is always crispy juicy and cooked just right. Having Louisiana hot sauce already at the table is a great touch and makes the meal even better. The mac and cheese is rich flavorful and absolutely delicious.

This place has THE best fried chicken I’ve had in California. This definitely matches the fried chicken back in South Carolina and Georgia. It’s pretty pricy so I wouldn’t eat here often but when I do I’ll know it’s a special treat. Make sure you eat the chicken ASAP when it comes out especially that thigh piece because it’ll be so crispy, flavorful, and crazily juicy. I compared it to a xiao long bao! Mac & cheese was amazing and so were the beans (beans were quite sweet but I like my food sweet so no biggie to me).

Skippity dippity doo! This place was lit. I was so glad to hear Gus’s was in California. Top notch fried chicken as always. Great sides, particularly the okra and the greens. All the fried stuff had that great crunch you’re looking for. And of course, you gotta end with some pie. Only thing missing was some southern iced tea.

Gus Fry Chicken serves up some of the best fried chicken I ever had grub. Crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. You can really taste the paprika in the batter, which adds a nice kick without overpowering the chicken. The store is spotless, and even the restroom was impressively clean. We dined in, and the service was fast and friendly. Only downside was that parking was a bit tough to find, but it was well worth it. If you love great fried chicken, Gus delivers big time.

Found this spot after just walking around LA for a bit. Best decision of my life. I ordered a 2pc Dark Meat meal which came with a chicken leg, chicken thigh, a piece of bread, coleslaw, and baked beans, and I also ordered the fried okra. The chicken was super tender and juicy, with an amazingly crispy exterior. The coleslaw was pretty sweet. The baked beans were amazing, some of the best I’ve had in a while. The fried okra was really good, really crunchy on the outside and still very sticky and gooey on the inside. The service at this place was spectacular, the servers are very attentive to customers and were always kind. Love this spot, I’m definitely coming back whenever I return to LA.

OMG, Gus’s World Famous Chicken in Santa Ana is a absolute gem! I’m talking the BEST fried chicken I’ve devoured in a very long time – and the sides? Top-notch all the way! I’m convinced, Gus’s serves the best fried chicken in all of Orange County. Don’t even get me started on the fried pickles… YUM! The vibe is cool, parking is a breeze, and the only downside is that we don’t live closer to make it a regular spot. It’s even better than Fixin’s in LA, and thankfully, much closer to home. Trust me, you HAVE to try it!

The chicken was all right nothing to Bragg About. Ordered two chicken breast with potato salad and mac. The fried chicken was decent tasted mediocre. The sides were below average. Ordered the pecan pie not the best had better pecan pie from the gas station. Overall it was all right. Will I return not Really. The Staff were cool though and Helpful
