I grew up with the Chubby’s on Morrison Road. Moved away years ago, and was back in Denver recently and found that location is no longer there.
Went to #1 hoping to enjoy that good old flavor again, and it was close to what I remember, just not near as hot. It’s a bit thicker too, but thats ok.
However, it’s still the best around. Beats Santiagos for sure, and the experience is just so nostalgic!
The lady that took our order was super friendly, and the place is clean. It was packed with waiting customers, but we got our food in a very reasonable time.
Parking is limited at noon, so you have to camp if you want a spot in the lot, or you can try parking in the neighborhood somewhere and walk.
Some lady was complaining about a recent small price increase, but I don’t think she’s been many places lately. Chubby’s prices are VERY reasonable.
I hear they are expanding, so I hope they open shop in Greeley someday.

I ordered a breakfast burrito, sausage, bacon, and Chicharo that’s it. I waited half an hour to 45 minutes. It would’ve been longer if I didn’t ask him anything and when I do ask him, it takes him five seconds to give me my burrito like just for a burrito like seriously don’t compensate me nothing my time was wasted thanks and then I call and say I didn’t get everything in my burrito that I ordered. I was waiting 45 minutes for a burrito and And when I tell her, I’ve been waiting 45 minutes she calls back there for my number and has the burrito within seconds Whether if you’re busy or not, I am a customer. Don’t compensate me when I call back just disrespectful.

Absolutely nothing like it. My all time favorite Mexican food. Chubbys chili fries are thee best. Nothing like that Chubbys chili. Sadly I’m no longer in Colorado to enjoy it as often as I’d like, but every time I go home, this is ALWAYS my first stop!

This place has the best Mexican Hamburger in the world! I get mine smothered, Xtra hot, and it’s my favorite thing ever. The fries and tamales are also very good. I also love their level of service, what’s friendly and correct!

I ordered a steak burrito with chili on the side so the burrito doesn’t get soggy. Imagine my disappointment when I got home to find this small, Jell-O shot–sized chili for the burrito—and they even charge extra to put it on the side! Chubby’s is really going downhill! ♂️

This place deserves 5 Stars simply because the food is THE BEST EVER!! ❣️☺️ It’s my favorite and has been for over two decades. I especially love the Mexican Hamburger, smothered with Chicharron on top, highly recommend! The service is fast and the people that work there are sweet and generous. Love love love!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Waiting time was approximately 20-30 minutes. We ordered at the cashier, and many people ordered online and picked up. Many tables for dine-in are mostly empty, so it is easy to secure if you’re considering eating inside.
We ordered the taco salad, quesadillas with beef, and signature french fries with a special chili source. The taco salad was perfect; we’d like to eat it every day!
French fries with the chili source were way too spicy… ️ we gave up in the end and did not finish everything. Ensure you’re good at spicy stuff if you’re considering getting some signature chili foods!

The worst torta! Not a place to order one.. Cold asada, cold bread.. you can’t even enjoy this food when it’s served cold. One of the older ladies was rude/embarrassing customer service. Even in foil and it still had no warmth to the touch.
And they have signs saying if your food is wrong you have to be on premises which most the time food is to go.. so no point going back cause they don’t seem to care to make it right anyway.

I can’t believe all the reviews. I have read, especially about staff and that stink face they greet you with sometimes. Very rare there is one female who does not greet you like the rest of them. Shorter girl looks younger than the other two that are always there. They always give you different amounts of meat when you ask for it on your fries Something is always off and different. Never the same. This day that I was there last this individual didn’t have to wait in line at all, went straight ahead of the line and they helped him even though there was a line seems to be related to the owners in someway shape or form I believe someone said grandson or something. He took a group of friends to feed as well. As far as I know he did not pay at all. He was handed his stuff for free when I’m sure he’s only supposed to get something for himself for free. I can’t remember what name they called him by, but to see that in front of ussucks because we had been waiting a good minute for our food as numbers also get called weirdly I understand some orders are smaller than others, but still off everyone for us and after us was gone already and then this happens. And yet this individual got up a few times to keep coming back for more food, even if there was a line. I’m happy for him that he gets free meals especially if he his family but wow to take the biker buddies to eat too on the house is a little much. I forgot to mention the lady at the counter purchasing had been in our shoes, waiting on her food forever and the grandson just keeps coming up, asking for stuff and they just hand it to him in front of her. You could see her frustration too.
