Little diner in Hart with friendly service and nice menu for breakfast and lunch choices, don’t know about dinners. But it’s very, very, very, very slow – almost one hour to get our meals from time of being seated and ordering at the Noon hour – for a simple breakfast and salad for the two of us on a Friday. Was so tempted to just walk out, but kind of feel sorry as they are understaffed in the kitchen, or something is a miss there. Definitely not too many cooks in the kitchen here. Cold hashbrowns and omelet too.

10 out of 10 country fried steak is pretty decent. 50 years old and just had the most amazing 1 here. Can’t say enough to talk it up. Worth the drive north for that alone. We will be back!!

Stopped by on a Sunday morning. We were seated right away and had friendly service the entire time. The pancakes truly are worth the visit. We mocked them at first but once you bite into them they were packed with chocolate chips. The 2 and 8 year Olds loved the restaurant and food.
Adults shared a potato skin scramble bowl that was pretty delicious.

We had a great experience. The staff all work together to do everything. The food was great. I had the sausage gravy scramble? I think that’s basically what it was. It was really good. It was busy and we waited but not long on a Sunday. Group of 5. Just a little warm inside but otherwise we enjoyed it.

My family and I ate here for the first time after stopping at the local orchard market. The menu is small, but the lunch was wonderful! Came out quick, tasted delicious, and was fairly inexpensive for four people. Would eat here again and I do recommend it if you are in the area.

A super fun diner with friendly staff and a great menu. Serving your standard diner food, they take some fun twists in decor and menu items like plate-sized pancakes. It’s not a huge restaurant, and there isn’t a ton of seating. It definitely can get a bit busy, but you’ll be glad you stopped in.

Small diner with good, home made, home cooked meals. Serves breakfast and lunch options (hamburgers and sandwiches.) Has an old time 50’s diner feel. Food is hot and delicious. Came out fast. Coffee is great. It’s not a real diner unless the waitress calls you hun. Will definitely return again!

We loved it! Yes we had a wait to be seated but the manager did a great job of setting and fulfilling expectations. I had the country omelet with a frank cake (pancake) and tator tots and all of it was spectacular. The staff was super friendly as well. Great spot!

Our family was in town for vacation and we wanted to share a meal together. After researching local restaurants as we normally do when visiting in a new town, we came across this place and thought it looked like a nice place to have brunch. We walked in and after waiting some minutes before being greeted, we were told they were working on getting a table for us, or possibly a couple tables if they don’t have enough room for us all to sit together (which we were fine with). A few more minutes go by and what I assume was the owner (?) came out and told us we were “putting a hardship on their kitchen” and “his cooks wouldn’t be happy” to see such a large group of 10….1 of which is a baby and 2 kids. He said we would be putting a strain on their “small diner” and he’s going to have to see if he can even seat us. These comments took us aback and made us feel very unwelcome and certainly less excited to spend our money here. We try to support local businesses where we can and this type of service in a small town is disappointing. What kind of “small diner” doesn’t want business? This kind of service is sad to see and we took our business elsewhere. In fact, we called Charlie’s down the road and asked if they could accommodate us, to which they said “absolutely!” And had our table ready to go when we walked in with friendly service. If you don’t want to seat larger parties, you could have told us that when we first walked in and there are definitely more friendly ways to convey this.

This was the first time I’d ever been to the Pink Elephant. But I’m not from Hart.
We were seated right away. The staff was very friendly. We had to wait a bit for our food but they were quite busy.
I had an olive burger that was delicious! It came with chips. I didn’t know if they made them or not. They did taste homemade and were very good.
