Shortly after the call concluded, I received a callback from your representative. They apologized for an oversight, as my delivery address had not been recorded – an error for which I acknowledge some shared responsibility. However, during this second interaction, I was informed that the previous price quote was inaccurate. The corrected price for the Mixed Ceviche was now stated to be $28.00, bringing the total, with the $2.00 delivery fee, to $30.00. Despite the continued price adjustments, my desire for the dish led me to reluctantly accept this new total, and I specifically requested that a detailed receipt be included with my delivery.
The food arrived approximately 50 minutes later. To my disappointment, no receipt was provided, contradicting my earlier request. Subsequently, upon reviewing my bank statement through my banking application, I discovered that a charge of $32.xx had been processed – a third, entirely different and higher amount than any of the figures previously quoted.
Beyond these perplexing and frankly unacceptable pricing inconsistencies, the quality of the Mixed Ceviche itself was deeply disappointing. It bore little resemblance to an authentic Ecuadorian preparation and was, to put it mildly, unpalatable.
The cumulative effect of these issues – the shifting price quotes, the failure to provide a receipt, the final unquoted charge, and the inferior food quality – has left me with the distinct impression of deceptive business practices. I find this pattern of miscommunication and financial discrepancies to be highly unprofessional and misleading.
“We serve delicious authentic cuisine everyone can enjoy.” Yeah, you guessed it – I got a front-row seat to a culinary Ecuadorian adventure. We’re talking rice, spuds, pot roast, and not one but two veggies on the plate. Who knew authentic meant Ecuadorian jailhouse chic?
Now, picture this: a wedding scene with around 180 hungry souls. And guess how many servers were rockin’ the show? Just a trio. Round of applause for their bold move! (No worries, I’m feeling kind, so I won’t let this sway my overall judgment of the joint). I am sure the wedding planner was to blame, but nonetheless…
As for the restaurant’s performance, let’s just say it was a symphony of sorts. Some got the encore treatment with double servings, while others had a ticket to the “No Food for You” show.
In a nutshell, it was an epic saga of underwhelming service and culinary roulette.
