Overall they have very good service and there food is good. The only reason I am rating them a 3 is because of the price of the shake. I understand the prices of the burgers but $7.50 for a regular size shake is ridiculous! The price of the shake wasn’t posted any where. Had I known how much it was I wouldn’t have bought it. I also got scoops of ice cream and that was a little expensive but you got a lot of ice cream so it was worth it.

The burger was wonderful!! One of the best i have had in a long time. Onion rigs were delicious. The ice cream is real and delicious. You will not get a dairy queen price for a burger and shake. It is worth the cost!!

Such a great family-owned place with freshly made food that is awesome. I also love having a hometown shop to get a real malt. I went there today to get my malt fix and tried the BLT. I’ve never had one with so much bacon, they don’t skimp on the ingredients. I also love the service and the smiles. I’ll return over and over. Can’t wait until my next visit.

Their malts were made to perfection! Fun food and ice cream flavors! Service was great, she was very nice and talkative! Their fries were thick and the tator tots were crunchy but both needed a little more seasoning. Either way the food was great and we will be back!

Food was good! As far as burgers and fries I’d rate it quite good! The 3 stars is a result of service quality. My party of three arrived on a Friday evening, noting only one other table occupied and one person waiting for ice cream. When we ordered we were told it was a 45 minute wait. Other customers arrived and left upon hearing this news. A family of four came in and was told the wait was an hour. In addition we waited quite some time, standing at the order counter before being acknowledged.. A quick greeting and “wIll be with you shortly” could have made that initial impression so much better.
Apparently call in orders were priority. This is good news in that people like the food so much they are ordering online or via phone, but horrible for those actually driving to the establishment. It is a cafe / restaurant with several tables and booths so I expect this issue may cause some lost business.
Bottom line….if you are going to try this place CALL FIRST and ask about your wait time. It could make a difference if you’ve plans or other scheduled events. I hope they get this figured out, how to greet and provide service to those who dine in house. If they do, yes, go and enjoy the good food!

We’ve ordered takeout from here twice now, and it was incredible both times!!! The pepper jack mac and cheese bites we had to get again, it’s the perfect combination of creamy comfort food with a little bit of kick, and obviously you can’t go wrong with throwing it all in a deep fryer. The burgers were delicious in their own right with a simple seasoning, and the toppings were just an added bonus!! I got the horseradish burger, the fried onions were so sweet and complimented the salty bacon and cheese perfectly!! The onion rings have a great, light beer batter, the fries and tater tots are always crispy, and THAT ICE CREAM THOUGH. OH. WOW. The monster cookie was meant to be shared with my daughter, but I found myself shamelessly huddled in the corner hiding it from her so I could eat it all to myself. Pretty sure we will single handedly keep this place in business, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! And, your staff is always friendly so that makes the experience that much better!!

I had the biggest ice cream cone I’ve ever had in my whole life here! Really good ice cream, unusual flavors. The lady serving was so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be stopping in the next time I’m in Lonsdale!

Super expensive! I wish I could spend $7 on a shake, $7.50 on a burger, and fries or onion rings. That adds up to $14.50 plus $6 for onion rings?? $20.50 for just one person to eat. I heard the ice cream looks so good but burgers are no better than Dairy Queen ♀️

Good ice cream.. Poor customer service. I was not acknowledged for At least 10 minutes. That is no exageration unfortunately. 2 small shakes, 3 ice cream cones $30. Good to try once for the great ice cream but not on a normal basis. Oh yeah and always a excuse for the complaints. Look below 🙂 good luck in the future 🙂

We have been here a few times now. Every time the food was delicious and the hospitality was great! Great burgers and an awesome selection of ice cream. Licorice Chip is the best flavor!
