Burgers, shakes & other diner-style meals are served up amid 1950s-style kitsch by the bay.

I grew up coming here so I was excited to bring my son. When we walked in we were greeted with a strong smell of sewage and broken bar seats. I ordered a kids Mac cheese and side order of fries ($14.67 after tax). While we waited I noticed all the broken equipment and bleached photos. When I got our Togo order (the smell was horrible and it wasn’t an outside thing) we sat at the park. The Mac cheese was the cheap Kraft cheese kind and about a 1/3 of a cooked box. The fries were decent but not $7 decent. We won’t be back.

Cool place to stop for a burger and some treats. My family loved their burgers and the fries were solid. They offer classic soda fountain drinks as well as an assortment of ice cream, shakes, and floats. Inside is cool looking but a but cluttered and the service is decent.

Great retro location! The vibe inside was pretty retro, I love the Neon lighting and vintage jukeboxes they had inside! The booths were comfortable and the food was great! I got a burger which was really good and came with a good amount of fries. Service was ok, the server misheard me and so I got a milkshake instead of a lemonade, but otherwise all was great! I’d come back here for sure and I definitely recommend!

We just popped in for some ice cream. Ice cream was ok but I loved the establishment itself with all the old time furniture and fixtures. Very nostalgic! And the kids that worked behind the counter were great. They were attentive and worked hard keeping everything clean!

Good place to grab a quick lunch; their chocolate shake was almost perfect except for some bits of ice cream slivers in it. Some of the best fries I’ve ever had. The burger was solid; nothing amazing but I wasn’t expecting that.
Service was a bit slow, and not the friendliest, but not bad, either. They were quite busy when we went so that might have been part of it.
All in all a better-than-average 50s diner and I’d go back. AMAZING fries.

Overall Rating – 7.67
Food – 7/10
– The burger was very standard, the patty could have used a little salt. The amount of fries was a bit disappointing considering the price.
– The blackberry milkshake was delicious, it definitely could have used some whipped cream.
– The cherry phosphate was good the syrup was a little too artificially. But a very generous serving.
➡️Accessibility – 8/10
– Pretty physically accessible, the counter seating is not very accessible but the booths are.
– Sensory wise the music could be loud for some and there is some neon lights and lots of pictures on the wall.
Service – 9/10
– Very standard, nothing bad.
️Ambiance – 8/10
– Very 50’s diner ambiance sadly the juke boxes don’t work.
Parking – 8/10
– There is street parking available as well as parking lots on each end of the block.
Price – 6/10
– I personally think it is a bit over priced considering the standard-ness of the food.

Classic small town style with 50’s flair. Nothing like taking a break and stepping back in time. We stopped in mid afternoon and the place was busy, but we were able to easily grab a booth. Our server was super nice and had water out to the table quickly. We tried the Nifty Burger and the Deluxe. One with onion rings and the other with fries. The food was out quick. The burgers were pretty much 50’s style basic, and we found the onion rings and fries very tasty. The music playing matched the era, and prices were about normal in the 2020’s. A worthy stop off for a quick bite!

My husband got calamari that he said was good. I thought, “This place obviously caters to kids. I’ll get something they can’t mess up.” So I ordered a BLT with onion rings. The amount of bacon was negligible and almost impossible to taste. There was a little lettuce. About the only flavor was the tomato. The onion rings tasted like they were previously frozen.
The jukebox is just for show, which is disappointing. The music is from the 50s, but over half is super obscure/weird cuts. Why not stick to the greatest hits of the decade?

Horrible food. The fish and chips spent twice the time needed in a fryer. French fries should have fluffy soft white potato goodness in the middle. Not the case here, they are flavorless crunchy tubes of oil. Don’t waste your money, there are so many other choices on the same block practically.

Soda Fountains and Diners are few and far between these days. But this spot not only has a large selection of milkshakes, floats and ice cream options…it has the staple hamburger, toasties and hot dogs. Music was on point, the view of the bay from the deck was just beautiful and the staff super friendly. Well worth a stop off the ferry in Port Townsend.
