Absolutely my favorite place to eat in the city. Scampi is turning out incredible tasting menus on the weekend, and debuted their “pasta shop” concept for some weeknights. It’s worth trying to get a seat for any night to try whatever Chef Liz is putting out.
Tasting menus change monthly(ish), and feature dishes from lesser known or other Italian regions that might be underrepresented on other menus. Always impressed with what comes out of the small kitchen in the back – the passion and respect for the food is obvious.
Add in the best dessert in the city, the frosted flakes topped tiramisu, and I’ve never had a bad (or average) meal here. Consistently excellent.

Five stars aren’t enough. We tried all every pasta dish available on the à la carte Wednesday menu. This is hands down the best Pasta I have had outside of Italy. Delicate, delicious and thoughtful plates. Highly recommend!

We were 2 couples on the prifix menu. I enjoyed everything. that night they were doing central italy cuisine inspiration with fall vibes.
Portion size are small and more of a sampling menu. My pork chop was very red and blood running in the plate, our server explained thats myoglobin but still i was afraid to try.
There is staleness smell to the place too. Otherwise great concept and food.

Wowowowow what a meal. The menu changes monthly and I went for the homage to NJ and was absolutely blown away. The calamari was perfectly fried and loved the pepperoni on top. I dream of the Caesar dressing. And the desert was spectacular. Can’t want to see what other menus they come up with.

Roman menu knocked our socks off! Don’t hesitate and GO!! Incredible flavors and every menu item embodied the soul of true Roman food (we just came from Italy!)
Hats off to the chef who executed these complicated flavors so effortlessly.
Chef and service was top notch and level of attentiveness and accommodation was beyond 5 stars.

Cute atmosphere with even better food! Each dish was delicious and we loved getting a fun description from the chef herself every few courses! The menu changes each month to keep you coming back for more.

The meal was a flavor narrative. I’ve never experienced anything like that before. The ingredients were both integrated and separate. I could taste the Calabrian chilies, the balsamic, the potatoes (in different dishes) at the same time as I enjoyed the symphony of flavors. The staff is very warm and inviting. Liz, the chef, is absolutely brilliant and deserves a Michelin nod. This is a special place. It’s intimate without being any kind of a tight fit. They have done an excellent job of configuring the former Neighborhood Ramen. Big wow. One of the best meals I’ve had in Philadelphia. Recommend it and I’ll be back.

I love everything about this place. The food is amazing, the vibe is both intimate and communal, and you learn the most interesting things! With a rotating and roaming menu, my friend and I are making it a point to go every month. I’ll let you know how many years it takes us to get tired of doing that.

I really enjoyed Liz and the team’s execution with this month’s menu! It was my first time and I loved that it was so intimate and personal . By the end of the night , I was yelling “Lizzzzy” like she was my girlfriend for years. Lol All the dishes were amazing. However, i absolutely have to have an entire Tiramisu cake to myself going forward. It was literally the BEST I’ve ever had in my life! Way to go Scampi!
