Visiting in the middle of the afternoon meant it was a little quieter, it is clearly a busy place at normal meal times. My tenderloin was good, I would happily have it again. Family friendly 🙂

If you’re anywhere near town, do yourself a favor and stop in. This place is exactly what a small-town restaurant should be — welcoming, genuine, and full of heart.
From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like family. The staff is attentive, and you can tell they truly care about the experience they’re creating. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride. Every dish tastes homemade — not rushed, not processed, just real comfort food done right.
What really sets this restaurant apart is the atmosphere. It feels like a community where people can gather, laugh, and actually enjoy being present. In a world full of chains and shortcuts, this spot stands out for its authenticity.
Support local. Places like this are rare, and they deserve to thrive. I’ll absolutely be back.

This restaurant has some of the best prime rib on Friday nights. And if you want some amazing wings and or the tenderloin, they are some of the best around the area! Great job

It was a Tuesday afternoon, my brother had won a gift card for Chalmer House. So we thought let’s go. We were pleasantly surprised! First, they had live entertainment on Tuesday… wow, it was good! We both had Catfish Dinner which was excellent. The service was great even with a full house. We will be back… even without a gift card:)

Was in the area and stopped here after a Google search. What a find. Luckily I ordered on Tenderloin Tuesday and I wasn’t disappointed. Sandwich was huge, fresh and delicious. My side of fries were the same. If I’m ever back in the area, I’ll go back.

Ate there with our motorcycle group. Ordered various dishes from all of us, and all was good. Salads, sandwiches, drinks, and services were outstanding. Really a great place to meet and eat.

The awning outside still says Michael’s, but you’re in the right place. The atmosphere was typical friendly workingman’s pub with a few tables and booths and a lovely old fashioned wood bar. We ordered the tenderloin sandwich and the catfish sandwich, both with tater tots. We could hear the cook pounding the tenderloins in the back. Everything was served piping hot and delicious. Chalmers is kind of out-of-the-way, but it’s worth a detour if you’re in the vicinity.

Don’t order the meatloaf. Drinks aren’t measured and are inconsistent.
