If you appreciate good sushi without paying high-end prices, Izumi Sushi is a place you shouldn’t miss.

The quality and freshness of the sushi easily compare to upscale sushi restaurants, yet the pricing is very reasonable. From salmon and sweet shrimp to tobiko and many other options, every plate tastes fresh and well-prepared. The variety is excellent, making it easy to try different types of sushi in one visit.

This is also a great place for adults to relax and enjoy a meal. The atmosphere is comfortable and elegant, perfect for conversations with family or friends. Whether you’re here for a casual dinner or a relaxed gathering, the experience feels enjoyable and unhurried.

What really stands out is the consistency—fresh ingredients, good portion sizes, and fair pricing every time we visit. It’s the kind of sushi place you’ll want to return to often, not just for special occasions.

High-quality sushi, pleasant environment, and great value. Highly recommended for sushi lovers who know what they’re eating.

Izumi at Oakridge is my go-to spot when I want quick, fun, and affordable sushi. The revolving belt makes it easy to try a little bit of everything, and the touchscreen ordering system is super convenient when you want something specific.

The salmon nigiri is always fresh and buttery (especially the seared options), and I like that portions are generous for the price. Service is fast, and the vibe is casual—perfect for a laid-back lunch or dinner.

Overall, great value, solid quality, and a fun dining experience.

I finally checked out Izumi at Oakridge Mall. They’ve been open for about two months, and since I usually go to Sanraku at the same mall, that’s my baseline. Overall, the sushi quality is actually fairly good and the pricing is about average for conveyor-belt sushi. The concept itself is fun.

When I was there, the conveyor belt was moving quickly, though only one side was running, and the restaurant was pretty empty. Ordering through the tablet was easy, and my spicy salmon roll arrived via a small robotic server, which was honestly pretty cool. There wasn’t much human interaction overall. Traditional service wasn’t great, but the mechanical and robotic aspect is fun, especially for kids.

Because it was so quiet and I was seated toward the front, I could clearly hear the servers chatting with each other about personal things and travel. It didn’t bother me, but it was noticeable. That said, I did have to flag them down and interrupt their conversation to get my bill. You still have to check on your customers, even when it’s slow. I was only there for about 20 minutes, which is honestly all I needed.

I tried three items total. The rice isn’t as good as Sanraku’s, but most sushi places don’t match that level anyway, and many people wouldn’t know the difference, so for what it is, it’s fine.

This restaurant isn’t really designed for large groups. Most of the seating is tables for two or four, and they’re on the smaller side. There aren’t any true large tables. The sushi bar itself is pretty long, so if you’re coming with a larger family or group, you’d likely need to sit together along the bar in a row rather than all at one table, which makes sense given it’s a sushi bar.

Overall, it’s a casual, clean and innovative spot for the young generation that didn’t grow up with a sushi belt. Oakridge Mall is chill, local, and not fancy, and there’s usually plenty of parking unless it’s the holidays. There’s also a movie theater nearby, so you can either avoid the crowds or be part of them depending on timing.

Truth be told, I did something a little wild today, I went from Sanraku for lunch straight to Izumi, so yes, I ate sushi twice in one day. Research purposes only .

A solid place for what it’s trying to be, especially for families and kids, and I’m glad I checked it out early before it gets busier.

Great and fun place to visit with friends or for a casual date. The conveyor belt sushi setup is a fun touch. The items look fresh, and you can also order directly from the device. The sushi overall is pretty good, and the beef rice bowl is definitely a must try! They offer a wide variety of options, which is great.

One word of caution: avoid the item labeled Walu. It’s actually escolar, a fish known to cause digestive issues. It shouldn’t even be on the menu.

First off, there’re multiple staff at the front but no one greeted me until I greeted them and asked for a table. Once seated, they regularly checked in.

The presentation/plating was great but it’s was a bit overpriced compared to Kura. The fish was relatively fresh but the rice was just okay. It’s not bad if you crave sushi nearby. It’s a bit pricey but the portion is huge. Medium sized amaebi was almost $9. I should have checked the price on the tablet.

I tried sea urchin. One bite was good but the other one was bad. The smell and the taste was foul. I also told the staff and they listened.

You can order with the tablet but you can’t pay through the device like at Kura.

The restaurant was clean but the lighting was giving cafeteria. Maybe use warm light? This does not affect the overall rating of the restaurant. I gave 3/5 solely based on the food and the service.

The service is excellent—they help refill your water. The décor and overall environment are very nice, and especially the little train they use to deliver food, which is really fun. Most importantly, their salmon portions are very large; one bite is incredibly satisfying, and the prices are very reasonable.

It’s newly opened, and the ambiance is nice, but the table is small, and we found it a bit uncomfortable with the plates crammed all over the table.
The sushi rice here is hard and lacks the vinegary aroma. The fish may have been freshly thawed, so it’s still a bit watery.
The rolls are much better, like the Lion King and Dragon rolls(4 pcs $4.50 ) which are quite good.

Just same as Kura , you can order any item from order system by yourself and deliver for you .

I visited Izumi Kaiten Sushi during their soft opening. The experience was just okay — the food was so-so and not very impressive. The waiting time was quite long, especially for the items ordered on the iPad, which took a while to arrive. Prices were on the higher side considering the food quality and portion size. Overall, not the best value for the price, but hopefully things will improve once they settle in after opening.

It’s sushi on a conveyor. It’s located inside Oakridge shopping mall.
Different plate color has different price. The fun is the train. You place an order for a dish that is not on the conveyor like wagyu beef, it will be delivered to your table by the train.
There’s a tablet where you can see the price of each plate as well as dishes you can order.
We had salmon sashimi, two big chunk of salmon for sashimi lovers. We also had 3 orders of Wagyu beef. Classic dishes are various type of sushi, seaweed salad, etc…
One hiccup was that we sat down but no one brought the utensils. We had to wave and ask for them.
It’s a new place so they might need time to become a well oiled machine.
