Ordered the Mandarin Chicken expecting it be your standard Orange sauce with plain breaded chicken and was blown away by how the giant plate full of nice big slices of veggies that you would expect on a kabob with what seams like a homemade sauce absolutely amazingly good it blew me away when the waitress brought out our dishes.
My wife ordered the Northern Thai Noodles a curry dish and again it was an amazingly good dish also, this is the second time we have eaten here now and it’s kind of our go to place when we’re passing through or in the neighborhood, my only complaint was this evening our waitress was sitting a few booths down from us and was using the F-word every other word for a good 5 minutes it was rather disturbing and we lost our appetite. I’ve never seen such poor behavior from an employee on shift in the middle of the restaurant without a care in the world of who’s was there or who might be offended, unfortunately those are the kind of employees that no matter how good the food is can just drive business away. Should be 5 stars across the board but the service was that bad for 1 bad attitude

The food is good. It is cooked in a more old-fashioned way but the taste is still there. They make everything in house. Their drinks are good; though, the themed names are a little misleading. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. The decor is neat but again a bit old fashioned. Service took awhile to get seated, but was mostly attentive.

What’s better than delicious food, sitting outside next to a bubbling brook, in the Oregon sunshine? The food was fantastic, really big portions beware! If you really want to push it to the Max order the Bloody Mary. We ordered it not expecting to include a full meal in the pint glass itself. Really fun with friendly service

There should be an option for a negative minus star review for this restaurant. Golden Crown Restaurant is bad bad bad in every aspect of food, customer service, and atmosphere. The rice tasted like cardboard, the general tso chicken was so hard, I couldn’t eat it. the vegetables were soggy. I went to eat at this restaurant with a family member on 1.6.2025. The restaurant messed up both our orders, the server did not bus our table at all. or offer napkins, I had to flag down the server for everything. this was during dinner peak hours, with little to no one else at the restaurant. they are not busy. the meat is not fresh, tasted like it’s old, way past the expiry date. and the restaurant covered the expired bad meat with sauces or deep frying them. this is one of the worst food, and worst restaurant experience.

I feel like stepping back to the 80s cheap chinese establishment. I ordered sesame chicken.. and I never seen sesame chicken with no sauce.. just sesame on the breading, I must add its mostly breading. My wife ordered spicy tuna and it have very fishy smells and her bento is very unappetizing. I would stay away from this place. I should’ve known when there’s school of flies is flying around by the sushi bar.

It’s amazing this restaurant doesn’t have higher reviews. We were at the restaurant last night and couldn’t be happier. The setting along with the river was beautiful, pleasant with plenty of tables. It was a great dinner for the two of us and our two dogs. The waiter even brought out fresh water for our dogs. We ordered chicken pad thai and two sushi rolls. The pad thai was some of the best I’ve ever had. The two sushi rolls were well crafted, full of flavor beautiful. All of the food was quite well priced and plenty for two people. We will for sure be going to Golden Crown next time we’re in Baker City.

We are passing through Baker City on the way to the coast and I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! We got the Dragon Roll which was SO good and me, my husband and 2 kids split a combo plate with BBQ pork, pork fried rice, almond chicken and General Tso chicken. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing. Dine on the balcony, it’s right on the river. The food is top quality with reasonable pricing. Portions are large, staff is friendly, the view is incredible and the food is tasty. I travel a lot, this restaurant is easily in my top 10 places to go eat. Had lots of leftovers. Will be back. Might go out of my way to come back. Thai tea was also delicious.

In town for my grandson FB game…yaay they Won!! Wanted something other than Fastfood for dinner… Grandkids got California rolls, my son and I got Bento Boxes and my hubby got Red Curry..the food was Delicious and the service was Awesome!! we definitely will be back when in Baker City!!!
