Surprised at the low rating for this Panera. Are people more likely to review a chain only if they have an exceptionally bad experience? I’ve eaten here a handful of times in the past few months and I come back because it’s simple clean food at affordable prices with a comfortable dining room. Sometimes when I’ve visited around lunch time, when it’s busy, someone doesn’t bus their table and you have a table or two with plates left on it, but it’s usually pretty clean. There are 3 ordering kiosks, but you can go to the counter to place your order with a staff member if you prefer. The staff that I’ve interacted with have been pleasant.
I used to go to the Panera in my hometown when I was a kid and the food is pretty much the same as I remember it (except the baguette, which is definitely not as crusty as it was 10 years ago, but still decent). Special mentions to the bread bowl which has that lovely sourdough flavour and the brownie which is super fudgy but not too dense. The chai latte is a little underwhelming – it tastes like spiced milk with just a hint of tea. The decaf coffee is decent.
It should go without saying that you won’t find the most exciting or flavourful food at Panera, but I find their offerings satisfying when I just want something simple and balanced.

This is my go to spot in btown. I absolutely loved coming here while i was in college. The bagels are excellent. The coffee is great and the coffee subscription is such a good deal. It’s easy to get to with a big parking lot. My food is always delicious and made quickly. I became very loyal to this place when covid shut down almost every other restaurant so i did most of my studying here.

Absolutely blew my mind eating here. Super friendly. I went through the drive through and the person who took my order was so over the top nice to the point where I wanted to leave a tip. The food was absolutely delicious. 10/10. First time eating here. My favorite spot in Btown

I truly enjoy panera but there drive through times are ridiculous at the Bloomington location. I have the sips drink rewards so I go through the drive through often and it always takes forever to even get up to the speaker because they take 20 mins to give people their food. I understand wanting fresh food but there has to be a way to make the experience better. Ex. Actually using the drive through parking spots.

Ordered the steak and wake breakfast sandwich. The service was prompt and atmosphere was good.
The cost of the sandwich was $7.55 for half a sandwich as compared to other establishments.

On 1/12/26, I was put down and belittled by tall-male-employee with brown hair and stubble-beard calling himself a manager and by an African-American female who was 5′ tall who also called herself a manager. The male who called himself a manager, told a male employee at the pickup counter, that if I didn’t like the way he treated me, then he would have to suggest to me that I go somewhere else. The female told an employee, that if I didn’t like being treated that way, that I should get. This all stemmed from my look of shock to see the male manager who was talking dirty about me too a customer, when a customer was talking to him about me. I stopped going to Panera back in 2017 and just started trying Panera again to see if it became any better. 1/12/26 was just my second visit this month since I stopped going here in 2017.

Good first time experience at this Panera. Greek salad was phenomenal and dippers too.

We frequently order bagels for the whole office from Panera. They have a pretty smooth ordering process. I can place the order on my app.And then when it’s ready, which is very quick, I can go through the drive through and pick it up. I never have to get out of the car to get a big order. They have very good bagels and breakfast pastries.

Panera is an expensive place to dine. The food was good and the variety of drinks was a plus. I think the choose 2 thing is an expensive gimmick that you really have to pay close attention to else it does add up quick. Staff was pleasant, place was clean, you can order at the counter or at kiosks or app.

The restaurant was busy, but it looked like it had never been clean; every surface down to the floors were dirty. There is a fake fireplace up on a wall in the dining area that had about an inch of dust covering it. The vents had a lot of dust as well, and not once did I see any employee wiping down tables after people left; the customers had to wipe down the table before sitting down to eat. It appears to have very poor management, and a serious lack of communication. As for service’ there is no service, as the customer has to order on a screen and then wait to have their name called only to squeeze through a crowd of other customers who are waiting on their food. The customer does all the work. The overall experience is that I would NOT recommend this restaurant. Where are the local health inspectors?
