Refined Indian restaurant pairing traditional cuisine with a wine & beer selection.

We love The Oven amd couldn’t wait to have the Muligatawny Soup and bread. We ordered that amd so much more! The Chana Masala is so good. We also order the mixed appetizer and I would recommend. The food was good, I felt the soup wasn’t up to the usual level, but was still good. We visited the East location and although the service is not bad, I don’t feel it is ever quite up to the service I receive downtown. That being said, I will always return and encourage others to visit either location.

Beautiful Indian restaurant. The service was solid and we were able to eat outside on the patio. Food was relatively fast and well flavored. The soup was incredible. The main reason for 4 stars vs 5 was due to how dry and overcooked the chicken was. There were a few bites that were borderline inedible. Most places we have gone use dark meat to keep the chicken juicy.

Because of poor service tonight, we will not be back. We love Indian food and think the oven has good food. Although the hostess was rude from the beginning. Felt as though we inconvenienced her to place an order to go. She was condescending in conversation and double charged us more than once. Poor service from the hostess ruined our experience. Not worth returning.

We ordered two portions of the Thali with our friends. It was delightful! The ability to try a variety of dishes was great; the mango chutney and chicken portion being my favorite. This location seems to have a little more space than the one downtown. It was unfortunate that they do not have a baby changing station in the ladies bathroom, which caused me to have to go out to the cold vehicle in the dark.

Always a favorite father/daughter getaway meal! We appreciate the great service The Oven always provides as well as very knowledgeable staff to assist with any menu questions or dietary needs. The environment of The Oven is also inviting and quiet to enjoy your meal and conversation to those you brought with you. Lastly, I love the menu here and have always walked away with satisfaction that we chose to visit again! Keep up the great work, and thanks for being in South Lincoln!!

Food is amazing. If you’re eating in, highly recommend. Wouldn’t advise doing take out though. What restaurant in 2026 doesn’t have online ordering? Your ONLY option is to call. And every time I’ve done take out, you have to call over and over before someone answers. If you want takeout Indian you’re better off going to Kripa, where the food is as good, but they make it faster and you can order online.

I want to thank all of your staff for being so professional when my group didn’t know you closed at 9 instead of 10pm! We planned to have our late night meeting there, and even though you were closed, you let us finish it out. I am so very sorry we read the closing time wrong, but thank you for remaining professional (although we would have totally understood if you kindly kicked us out lol) Staff is top notch!!

The Oven was my introduction to Indian food years ago and since then, Indian food has been my favorite food.
I’m not super adventurous. I usually stick to the chicken Khormas, Masalas, and Bhuna.
This last trip this week, I had Chicken Bhuna, Garlic Naan, Paneer Kulcha, and Mulligatawny Soup. My daughter had Chicken Korma and a Mango Lassi.
The service was great and the food was amazing as always.

We were just passing by the town and already had dinner somewhere. When we saw this indian restaurant we thought to drink chai there. To our surprise not only they have chai it was one of the best chai we had in a long time at a restaurant. The staff was kind and accommodating, and the ambiance was amazing. We chose to sit outside. If we get another chance to be there, we will definitely give it another try and have their food too.

Ate at the Oven it was delicious and spicy. I loved it. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of the Mulligatawny Soup. Whoops but you can definitely tell I cleared my bowl.
We ordered the Chicken Tikka Korma and the Chicken Tikka Madras. The Korma was much spicier than the Madras. The Madras was creamy and smooth and bursting with spicy flavors. The dish was served with saffron rice and we ordered a side of Naan that wasn’t pictured. It was delicious and worth the price.
