Sometimes, there is nothing more satisfying than fried chicken.
I have always loved fried chicken since I was a kid.
I like how the crispy crust and the juicy chicken interior taste at Popeye’s.
They never go wrong. It is always hot and fresh from the oven. It’s crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside but it is not greasy.
The store atmosphere is clean and tidy, and the staff is friendly and enthusiastic.
We are always pleased with the fried chicken at this Popeyes’ location. Therefore, we highly recommend it to fried chicken lovers.

Just a really mid experience overall. What I assume to be the supervisor/manager was friendly, but the workers were just plain rude and would stare rudely at customers, being aggressive with completing their tasks and slamming things around in the store, which made quite a cacophony when we were trying to enjoy our food in reasonable quiet.
Additionally, the mashed potatoes were mushy and soupy, tasted a day old and reheated. Fries were horrible, had an undertone of old cheese. The only thing that was really good was their chicken sandwich, which seems to be fairly consistent among many locations.
I could only recommend this location for closeness to you, but dont expect anything greater than convenience.

Second time trying this location, the first time was also mid. I was exited to try the new Freddy meal so I gave them a second chance and drove 30 mins to location, I ordered online about 10-15 before arrival. When I got my food I was shocked to see that they barely gave me any cheesecurds in the meal, I didn’t expect a lot but they literally gave me like maybe 5… and the food was on the colder side which made the cheescurds kinda harder/rubbery texture.

This place is falling apart, no pride in the business. Food is basic. Half the time workers ignore you inadvertently causing you to order at the touchscreen machine, if you’re patient enough at that point. At least greet your customers or say you’ll be with them soon. Scratches on walls there for over a year, $30 in paint needed, curtains are falling down, light fixtures are missing. Really as someone who manages and maintains large communities and businesses, the place needs serious help. Take pride in your business in SLO a lot of businesses would love to be in such a prime location.

Edith, the store manager provided me with fantastic customer service that was above and beyond as well as very nice to see her setting a good example to everyone that worked there on what team Work looks like and doing whatever it takes to get the job done. The manager for the midshift was very unprofessional. I placed an order online and went in to pick it up was asked if im here for pick up gave her my name and was told “I don’t see an order with that name I don’t know what to do” she was able to find my receipt in the pile of receipts that were hanging from the register. Online Order took a total of 20 minutes most of my lunch break still thanked the women at the register but the manager finished my experience with no thank you! Amazing with a little BBQ sauce, too!
Cole slaw was yummy, fries were flavorful and the regular size was just enough. My cream soda + Dr Pepper concoction was refreshing af.
They even let me have some spicy mayo on the side for my fries!
I was SO hungry after roaming the Los Osos oaks for 3 hours, so this really hit the spot!
Glad we don’t have one of these back home, I would get so fat

I absolutely love their Spicy Chicken and the Cajun Gravy is one of the best I ever had including Thanksgiving Gravy. The Chicken was practically right out of the fryer as it almost burned my mouth and this was at noon on a Friday, so they pretty much sold all their Chicken since they opened up for that day. I have yet to try their sandwich which I bet is just as satisfying. Cannot wait to go back.

7/23/25 430pm. Manager (short hispanic lady) at this restaurant is absolutely horrible! Such a nasty attitude. Wish I could just order my chicken and leave without any issues but it seems they’re always out of something so of course she has to get involved. Today I ordered dark meat and I was told by her that I had to wait 15-20 minutes because it was considered a special order. Tray full of chicken but I had to wait. Wouldn’t mind waiting if she did not have such a lousy attitude when I asked her for clarification. Im done with this place! Too bad because I really enjoyed their chicken.
