SHARING IS CARING: This is NOT the same Chicagoland famous Harold’s Chicken Shack that was previously at this location. This is now HAROLD’S CHICKEN & FISH. I couldn’t figure out why it tasted differently, and why the packaging was different. On or last visit we receiced Starbucks napkins in out bag which was ODD and made me pay closer attention.
The food was ok, definitely not the same, more like a Sharks than Harold’s.

I didn’t get her name but she was AMAZING. Her way of communication, recommendation(s) for food to get. Very…..very good service and I will make an attempt to come here again either WITH food or to get food before I head back to Kansas!

Chicken was fresh I ordered two 10piece fried hard lemon pepper mild sauce. Couldn’t taste the signature the lemon pepper at all you might have to say heavy. We ordered fried pickles good, large fries with mild sauce and mac and cheese BIG MISTAKE!! Please take it off the menu this KRAFT POWDER CHEESE is repulsive! Restaurant looks clean . That’s it that’s all .

A seasoned veteran in food service and serving the nwi…no swine on the site…I’m going with the 12 pc boneless hot let’s see how they are!…is not Chicago Harold’s but NYC Harold’s…I would say more seasoning and make it crispy not a fan of the cobbler but I’m about to out some ice cream on it…this is sharks with real halal meat. A few improvements and I’ll be here daily

Way too much sauce on the chicken and $4+ dollars for Kraft Mac and cheese is insane. Definitely notice the difference in ownership. Back to driving to Illinois for Harold’s.

Grew up on Harold’s, so I know the real taste. This ain’t it. Chicken came out bland and off—mild sauce couldn’t save it.
Big red flag: they’re dropping piping-hot, greasy food straight into a polystyrene (Styrofoam) clamshell and closing the lid. That traps steam (soggy fries/chicken) and hot oil on foam isn’t food-safe—polystyrene isn’t for hot, oily food and it’s not microwave-safe. I’m not eating that.
Also—during my visit there was not one single B.L.K. person on the line or at the register. Not one. For a brand born in our culture, that matters.
Bottom line: don’t spend here. When this spot gets replaced, let’s get a real Harold’s back—run by our people, seasoned right, and packaged right.

The fried chicken and fries was excellent. The chicken itself is easily like a 7.5 or 8/10. The establishment itself is a little run down looking. I would expect this for it’s location and sometimes I find that to be a good sign that the food will be good. The thing that seriously disappointed me was that I ordered mac and cheese and it was literally Kraft mac and cheese from the box. The mac was room temperature and I found a hair in it and it looked like a pubic hair. The cashier was very nice. I may go back and try the fried fish, but if I find another hair in my food I’m filing a complaint to the health department.

Saw the sign Harold’s Chicken pulled in ordered 6 wings. To my surprise NOT close to Harold’s they fooling people with sign. Food is extremely salty. The sauce is horrible definitely not a Harold’s sauce. Don’t waste your time or money stopping!!!!
